I love how the Eurosport commentators were going about how disputed that sprint was and how Martin gave his all. I suppose they might be being ironic, but still.

(Also, is that how you're supposed to pronounce "Koos"?)

I think that's something like the 4th time this year that someone mistakenly thinks they have won. Hondo did the same in the Giro or some other race.

They always have a bad day when every one thinks they are OK, havent they?

They started the year off OK but the wheels seem to be progressively falling off.
Hagens win in the Dutch food classic and Downing a couple of weeks back the only bright moments for what seems like months.

How do you close a minute and a half gap in the ENECO Tour?
The GC could be stitched up already. (unless Martin gets Greipel duty again)

still only four teams got more wins than sky, and a couple shy of 60 podiums for the season. Not a bad debut season.

Seems like they're satisfied with a stage win. Koos will have no chance vs. Tony Martin at the time trial. Thought Rabobank had higher ambitions and wanted to do more carnage, especially considering their strong lineup.
Moerenhout was 6th at the worlds itt last year, its not like he is useless...

but against martin nothing could be done, even if boom was with him. so why care?

and i can see maltiv complaining already that ebh was clearly the strongest...predictable
No I did not, all I said was that Mourenhoet clearly wasn't the strongest, and I think most people would agree. But that's cycling, and Mourenhoet still deserved to get a win. I'm just annoyed that EBH screwed up his second eneco tour GC (he also did it in 2008) due to a really bad tactical mistake.

You can't really blame him. It's only a "bad" mistake in hindsight. In a lot of cases it was possibly the right decision not to chase a last-ditch attack when you are about to get caught by the peloton. The way it turned out it was a mistake but I wouldn't call it a bad mistake.

I have no reason to assume that EBH was the stronger rider on the day. Absolutely no reason whatsoever. When two time trial powerhouses attack on a climb in the final of the stage, you better make sure you're on their wheel.
