This drives me mad. How can you argue with that?

Easy - take LA out of the equation and ask how much charity work is ok to defend a doper - is Danilo a nicer doper because he had pink bracelets? Or should he have used a more noble charity?

I did find it amusing that a poster is allowed call Lemond a *** - but a poster who points out the mods hypocricy is now banned.

I think Cyclingnews deserve a lot of credit for the way this forum is run.

There's a very good balance of self-moderation, and gentle nudging. But I still don't know why Nobody and A Moron were banned, but there probably was a reason.

Interesting. I just looked at Nobody's profile, and it doesn't list him as banned. Though he hasn't posted in weeks.

Quite!

At first is looks like a ghost town of mods. There's no one. Oh crap....

....then you realize it works just fine with the mods intervening only when it gets out of hand.

The Tour ended. That's what happened

That was the other poster - A moron, thanks. And again like 'Nobody' I didnt read anything out of the ordinary.

As for 'Nobody' I actually checked them last week and they were "Guest" - but I see they are back with 'Senior Member" staus - maybe they did a Sella.

As I am a surgical oncologist I can tell you that your friend is wrong. HCG is used as a marker for the diagnosis of testicular cancer and determining a prognosis. The HCG level correlates with the volume of disease (ie, higher levels, the worse the disease), but still increases above normal reference ranges even when the tumor is not palpable or even bothersome. Apart from diagnosis and determining prognosis, HCG levels are also importantly used for post-treatment screening: If HCG levels do not decrease to normal levels or later increase, then this indicates that there is evidence of metastatic spread. This can occur despite there being no physical (or imaging) evidence of measurable disease. So this blows your friend's theory.

From the Testicular Cancer Resource Center: "Blood tests: Some testicular cancers secrete something called tumor markers, high levels of certain proteins that can be detected through blood tests. These markers of testicular cancer include alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), beta human chorionic gonadotropin (ß-HCG) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH). If a guy's AFP or HCG level are above normal AND there is something wrong with his testicle, then you can assume that he has testicular cancer. If the tumor markers do not fall back to normal after an orchiectomy, then you can usually assume that the cancer has spread, even if no other tests show where it has gone."

"Some Testicular Cancers" if you really are a surgeon (...deleted by 180mm...) My friend stick by what he told me and states that anyone could copy what you did from the Internet.

Welcome. Not too many BPC supporters around here. I think you will fit in nicely.

BTW, excellent post.

There are a lot more than you think, but most of them are like me who have better things to do with their time than waste it arguing with people like you who hate excellence and believe everyone who has achieved it is a cheat. I happened on to this forum and was so disgusted that I felt considerably better having told you what I thought of you. For your information and that of the new HA whose post you quoted, I am neither ignorant nor an American. I speak French reasonably well and do most of my cycling there. I believe LA has done more to create interest in cycling in the Anglophone world than anyone before or since. The spreading of half truths, innuendo, and outright falsehoods for profit by the likes of Walch and Ballester have not harmed him or his image, I doubt seriously if the rantings of you and your ilk will either. I also think there are a lot of people who like me, admire and respect him for what some consider character flaws. He fights back fiercely when attacked and does not take crap from pompous a**es.

Ah, we all have better things to do and yet here we are.

If Walsh and Ballester are spreading half truths and innuendo for profit then they are truly battling LA at his own game for he is the MASTER at it.

No one in this world cares if you want to go through life with great admiration for LA. I admired him once too. Now I don't.

You have made this claim many times, but have yet to back up you assertions with any evidence. You sound like you must be a hater.....and who is this Walch guy?

Well, Horner now has a TUE for asthma.

http://blog.oregonlive.com/horner/

"I could see that the asthma medication was working well, as I was finally able to get in the big efforts in training that had been missing since the breathing symptoms began. I had finally found the 150 watts that had been missing from my life lately, and it was just in time -- not to mention a huge relief!"

Adult onset asthma....

He'd fit right in with Radioshack. I heard they have excellent facilities for the elderly, like sanatoria (to open the lungs), free strollers, and they offer senior citizen discounts.

I consider myself an LA fan, and I know of them and just about any other obscure French race you can name. The LA story was what rekindled my interest in cycling after some 40 years. My cycling knowledge also includes a number of amateur events such as "Le Pierre Jodet", "Le Roger Walkowaik", "La Limousine", "Les Copains", "L'Ecureuil", and "Le Etape du Tour". I hold a category 3 French licence (best I can do as I am 71), and have competed in these amateur events as many as 10 times. It may surprise you and the rest of the Armstrong haters on this forum to know that there are a substantial number of French cyclists and cycling fans who like and respect LA.

So you are not American, you are not French but you somehow hold a cat 3 French racing license (oh, I'm sorry a licence, what ever that is). With that "licence" you enter French tourist races so therefore you are an expert on the current condition of pro cycling.
This raises two questions in my mind.
1: Just where are you "from" and;
2: Are you just full of dog doo or are you attempting to troll us?

Funny photo/quote there RR. :D

That quote by Horner is painful to read. I remember about five years ago when he was critical of Lance He didn't call him out for doping, he just didn't let the public and media's love for Lance stop him from speaking up. I also remember when he left Saunier Duvall, and called the team a mess. Now, I'm not sure what to say.

The most common thing about you fanboys is that you claim that we, the hateful non-supporters, disdain excellence and a winner.

Frankly, what a load of crapola! I, for one, admire lots a winner; just not a bullying jerk who treated Simeoni the way he did (which to me says it all about who LA really is). For one with true class and a kind heart, simply would not have behaved so indecently.

That he's a fighter...So what? My cousin had the same cancer, faught it in anonymity and won. He's also one of the genuinely nicest guys I know. Though if you admire him for fiercly lashing back at those who attack him in the "Simeoni style," then you're the a**s.

PS: I didn't think you Brits (?) could be such wànkers. And sorry if I got the nationality wrong, because I obviously have nothing against the British.

Give us an example of the half truths, lies and innuendo from Walsh and Ballester.
Second time I've asked for this. And again, it shouldn't be hard to find, if there are as many as you say.

Licence: A permit from authority.
License: Grant a Licence to a person.
Source Oxford English Dictionary.
I've always spelled it with two c's.
Pond variation? May be a clue...or not.

Oldnell believes in "the fantasy", therefore, it is easy to create his own and adopt it, here.

Hater!;) Well, if the term originates in the UK, there must be cause to create it.
UK fanboys are on a par with the worst the US can produce, just fewer in number.

On the subject of hate. Yes, it seems that fanboys are immune to prosecution, on that score. Hence the reason they dish it out so much.

I don't think Oddsmell is either Brit or French, unless his obssessive hatered of the anti-Lance brigade keep him posting until 4am (5am CET)

OK, who deleted my post? The DependsTM comment was funny!

A troll comes along spewing stupidity and vitriol and I am not allowed to respond? I mean, my post wasn't any worse than his posts or some of the above posts. WTF???!!!
