No idea what Jayco is thinking tho. Would've been way smarter to immediately slow down and let the peloton come back.

They also ruined their own chances earlier by destroying themselves keeping the other sprinters behind.

This is how Jayco always ride for Matthews - make things hard without any thought as to how Matthews will finish it off. We had like five stages of it in the 2021 Vuelta and I expect something similar in the Giro.

Jayco should have had Englehardt on Marcussi's wheel - Englehardt was as strong as Matthews on the Mamashan and should have been left off the leash.

De Lie seems to have made a step uphill. He was dropped last year (came back) when it was still a 50 man peloton, definitely better today, but Lotto completely underestimated this parcours. You either give him a super strong team to help him or you have a backup plan like almost every other team here.

Here comes the 2nd group moto to the rescue! Can the moto bring the 2nd group back?

Why are you ignoring the fact that the front group had a moto 15km straight after the last hill and the peloton didn't?

We get it you want the front group to win, and we get it, moto's are a problem, but you're being super selective here.

It's not like they're coming back anyways.

It will not be similar in the Giro - And Jayco actually attacked this race and were not riding from the peleton.

A few people must be kicking themselves for not going with Marcellusi right now.
And this group would do well to ignore him rather than berating him for not working. He's earnt the right to sit on.
Everyone else needs to keep working together if they want this to stay away.

They are, thanks to the moto now. Front group moto is behind the riders.
It will be a sprint finish, as predicted. All thanks to moto pacing.

Definitely some serious motorpacing, but if they front group let the peloton come back it's 100% their own fault. It's 10 guys vs. 3 or 4 guys in the peloton.

I'm just saying that the organizer want this to be a sprint finish, and they will make it a sprint finish.
