Chaves season is not finished this year grand tour season was bad , but last year he was the first colombia to win a monument , so the guy has potential ,

Yes; we are fully aware of that, thank you very much, but that win at Lombardia was coming off his stellar form at 2016 Vuelta and a win at another Italian one-dayer (Giro dell'Emilia). There is a strong possibility that he may win it again in the future but on the evidence we currently have before us; his current form is significantly below last year's so whilst its plausible that he may still be competitive at this year's race (if on a good day), its less likely he'll go back to back.

Fractured shoulder, but anyway; it's "just a bone".
Well. Sad that he couldn't chanllenge for Lombardia. But on the other hand it was positive that it didn't turn out to be worse than it looked initially.

“It will finish his 2017 early, but will not have an effect on his 2018 preparations.”

He can forget his unproductive season and concentrate on being better for next year.

Good for him to get back to winning ways again, which will boost his confidence, but on the other he faced about the worst competition possible. Let's see what this year brings for Chaves, I can definitely see him get back to his 2016 level.

Will return to Europe for a training camp, then ride P/N, Catalunya, one month in Columbia - Possibly ride Ardennes and then the Giro.
Please, Colombia.

DNP-
I'm always glad to be reminded about the 2nd 'o' in Colombia. I wonder if some people realized it's such an easy slip (even for those of who have an inkling of world geography) for U.S. residents to make because:

Washington, D.C. (District of Columbia)
Columbia, South Carolina (state capitol)
Columbia University
Columbia River(the great river of the western U.S.)
Columbia Sportswear
and many, many more . . .

On the other hand, now, more than in many decades, it's important to understand what the world is beyond this country's borders.
