What else could Lampaert do ? He attacked and Viviani could follow his wheel - Please give me an alternative.

Keep his legs still as soon as Viviani was on his wheel, letting him try to stay away from Ackerman, and have a small chance at the sprint instead of none.

Why? He rode all race as a Deceuninck-Quick Step rider.
Yeah, for a rider who will ride a handful of races for DQS before moving to another team. This is an Italian/Cofidis win.

He could, maybe (just a though) NOT ride full gas when a compartiote is trying to bridge at LITERALLY less than 10 meters from bridging, and he knew full well that Philipsen was there because he was looking back the entire time. He then continued to do a lot of work, while he was the only Belgian in the front group. And after he attacked, he should let Viviani do the work.

the other day Gazzetta reported that his new girlfriend is (17 year old Italian cyclist) Elena Lucchinelli. Not sure if that's still up to date though, or how talented she is
