Italian leadout went horribly wrong as soon as Trentin was done. They went from dominant to disintegrated in 50 metres.

The main problem was Viviani telling the others that they'd rather surf wheels at the last moment. Had he allowed Ganna and Guarnieri to do their job he would have been in prime position to lead out Dainese, but apparently he also wanted to sprint.

Still, a horrible circuit in an overrated city.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but that was a perfect Belgian Quickstep lead-out (Van Lerberghe, Merlier) for a Dutch Quickstep rider...
There was only one guy sure winning this race and it was Patrick Lefevere
