Ok, didn't know that. I've never seen him so lean and fit.@acm he lost weight when compared to the beginning of the season but he is still 2kg heavier than in the Giro last year so his performance shouldn't be affected.

We will see. I think the other thing that might favor Remco which you guys haven't mentioned is the TT is only stage 10 and the following day is a flat non GC day. If the TT was on stage 20 I'd favor Roglic further based upon what we know - we know Remco is yet to finish a grand tour.
Could you please somehow remove Slovenia from your nick? You are making us look bad...Pffff, you really all must be joking. I just read last 4 pages of this thread, and you are absolutely all assuming that Remco will beat Primož in ITT.
Well, fellows, let me tell you something. You will be all again surprised after ITT because Primož will beat easily everyone including Remco. Hah, who is Remco for Primož after all? Just some guy that he does not give a damn s*** about.
Just enjoy the stomping and before ranting think about "what would primoz say"Pffff, you really all must be joking. I just read last 4 pages of this thread, and you are absolutely all assuming that Remco will beat Primož in ITT.

Is he a practicing Catholic or just supersitious? I had not seen him making the sign of the cross before!

Well he does have a huge cross tattooed on his armIs he a practicing Catholic or just supersitious? I had not seen him making the sign of the cross before!
I've some difficulties with visual perception that makes me somehow not see which direction that cross goes in. I've stared at it so many times to try to figure out what it actually is, I didn't know if he was a goth rocker or something of some sort or a Christian. I always forgot it after a race or I would have taken a better lookThe man is a literal pilgrim!
And he of course has a huge freaking crucifix tattooed on his right forearm.
Oh wow I am not alone in not being able to see which direction that cross goes in :OWell he does have a huge cross tattooed on his arm
Joking aside - I wanted to find out about his religious views but didn't come very far. The reason I was interested was because it is hard to tell whether his cross is supposed to be a latin cross or inverted cross which could mean anti-christian views. So far, I haven't come very far with my research except for the fact he is an Iron Maiden fan which could point to the latter... He was once asked about his tattoo and religion in Slovenian media but dodged the question entirely. The video you posted clears things out a bit...

Zoals hij zelf zegt, life goes on. En zo geschiedde"
My cynical self says he's built a solid persona. And a solid persona can be taken really far and could easily extend to teammates.Sam Oomen said something really funny with regards to Roglič, i.e. he called him a "mystery man": Sam Oomen over Primož Roglič: "Mysterieuze mens" | Wielerkrant.be
That's part of the Roglič package, i.e. we just don't know (& never will) what's going on in his head or in his legs until he makes something happen himself. Like yesterday, i.e. brutalizing the field on one of his favorite punchy type finishes... when many (most, even) observers had already written him off.
The International man of mystery Rogla will always keep people guessing.
Can u please talk more about psychology of top cyclists, its interestingMy cynical self says he's built a solid persona. And a solid persona can be taken really far and could easily extend to teammates.
He appears similar to other celebrities who builds persona, like actors, politicians etc etc for example.
What are we to make of this remark, if I heard it correctly? "Completely in for me, huh?"
And the whistling feels passive-aggressive.

It's more that they don't wanna control breaks or stage wins.I won't open the TdF can of worms again (where his team car literally did screw him over) but reading a few comments here & there from various staff members (Niermann & Wynants for example), I hope they're full of deliberate B.S. with regards to most of what they say.
I mean take yesterday for example: Jumbo said it wasn't the plan to go for the stage whereas Rogla said it's better to take the wins & bonus seconds instead of deliberately leaving them behind. Sam Oomen said after the stage it wasn't planned that way.
And just after the stage today, Maarten Wynants said they'll keep calm now until the ITT next week which according to him is the next big GC moment:
Jumbo-Visma laat leiderstrui schieten: "Was eigenlijk gisteren al de bedoeling" | WielerFlits
To me that seems like a bad idea (which I hope isn't true), i.e. on the contrary Roglič should use his good form & go for it on the MTF's over the next 4 days. Evenepoel needs to be gapped.
Early 2021Ok, didn't know that. I've never seen him so lean and fit.
Who is he talking to there—a staff person or the rider standing in front of him (Kuss?)?I won't open the TdF can of worms again (where his team car literally did screw him over) but reading a few comments here & there from various staff members (Niermann & Wynants for example), I hope they're full of deliberate B.S. with regards to most of what they say.

Nobody is saying he is anything but a brilliant TT'er, but just not on all courses. On a long flat TT by the coast (wind) i think Evenepoel is the clear favorite under normal circumstances. But we don't know what that means after 10 days of racing.Rogla is not so shabby at ITT either. Having one at the middle of GT race is rather good for him too.
We'll see.
You're not gonna gap Evenepoel on Pico Jano. No altitude, he is still fresh and it's a climb which is good for him. Just because Rog did a stomp doesn't mean he is in peak form for me. If anything guys like Yates/Hindley/Carapaz have to attack tomorrow.I won't open the TdF can of worms again (where his team car literally did screw him over) but reading a few comments here & there from various staff members (Niermann & Wynants for example), I hope they're full of deliberate B.S. with regards to most of what they say.

I saw Roglic talking to Kuss right after the finish line and even in this video they both have very serious face. Even Sepp. And what Roglic said... I'm not sure what to think about that. What are we to make of this remark, if I heard it correctly? "Completely in for me, huh?"
