Think the team very well rounded and pretty darn strong overall, today Lipowitz wasn't there to help as he was in the break and you don't use Vlasov as a donkey.

Almost 5 minutes is too much. 3 minutes was good but 5? He needs to get out of his comfort zone and attack from far out. I don't know how he will react to not be a mountain sprinter anymore.
Epic team fail. If he loses two Vueltas in a row (despite being the strongest) to *** Kuss and O’Connor that will be such a shame.

Todays tactics of course can be viewed critically and I agree that it is too much time. I am just suprised that all other were ok with the time as well (Visma, UAE, Moviestar)
O'Connor will be at least 15 minutes down to Roglic at the end of the Vuelta.
That’s possible. Still doesn’t mean this wasn’t dumb race management today.

i dunno i think they played it perfectly today? other teams wasted energy chasing and i really doubt O'Connor can hold that 5 minutes.
I will be glad if that turns out to be the case.

If O’Connor really lost that much time on stage 4 due to hydration issues, it will be hard for anyone to win the Vuelta. If this was just a fluke, it doesn’t matter. Fact that he was able to expand the gap means he should be in decent shape, which explains why Gall said he’s the leader
Decathlon definitely will have issues to keep the lead from a team strength standpoint I think

As for Rogla, he now gets to stomp Ben O'Connor in the Vuelta GC over the next two weeks & look like a hero when he does.

Even if O'Connor fails, which I think he will, Rogla will be forced to attack now, which means Almeida and the likes will be able to wheelsuck and we all know that's not how it's supposed to be...
