Basically my sentiment from the second intermediate point onward.

My bold prediction was looking good but not anymore. Roglic is in contention to be in the top5

After today I think Roglic is even in contention for top3. Remco is weaker than expected and the main roadblock is now Lipowitz OFC. But the Tour is long and Rogla's younger teammate may not be as good and consistent across the whole race.

I think 3rd is a real possibility. There's 4 massive mountain stages to come and the other guys in the 4th to 7th group don't have his track record in the 3rd week of a GT where he generally has not faded. From here Remco I think will either hang on for 3rd or haemorrhage huge amounts of time.

For sure. I’d be shocked if Remco finished third. I think he’s toast. I’d rank them for the third spot as:
  1. Lipowitz
  2. Roglic
  3. Vauquelin
  4. Remco
  5. Onley

For sure, there are still 3 stages in the coming week that are harder than yesterday’s. Unless UAE and Visma opt for the group ride strategy, there should be several minutes gained or lost in positions 3 through 8.
