I hope Primoz rests up and shows off his superior tan lines on the rest day. I'll be happy if he gets to Paris unscathed and top 5 position. Do you guys think he'll go to the Vuelta this year? I'm not sure he'll be great in the 3rd GT in a year, but you never know with Rogla. He's a beast and I have a new appreciation for this guy.

Currently a bit of well deserved rest then further mentoring Lipo and performing good in week three, that is all there is to it, other things an afterthought.

Roglic has never performed well relative on these stages relative to how good he was on unipuertos or just in general rather fresh efforts. Thats not even a question lol and when you get older and mybe isnt at 100% (who knows) that certainly doesnt help either. That has always been his weakness and is indisputable

Rather strange point of view considering we are talking about a cyclists who basically is GOAT MTF sprinter.

MVP.

In the Remco thread, there’s a lot of discussion about Remco’s crashes and his hurt shoulder significantly holding him back from being clearly above everyone but Pog, which, ok maybe. But it’s interesting that many of those same people blame Roglic for his crashes and take it for granted that his crashes haven’t limited his ability to tap into his potential, unlike Remco. Roglic has had shoulder issues for years. You’d think if you’re making an argument that levels Remco up hypothetically, you’d grant Roglic the same…

Some rest day summer time reading, best to use translator if interested.

Yeah, standard BS, you have to say something in a diss attempt. Used to be age and similar.

Remco and his fans always have an excuse, even before he puts up a bad performance.

I mean, honestly, a lot of it is legit, it’s just selectively applied. He undoubtedly has lesser palmares than he would without some disruptions. But the same is true of others, like Roglic (since we are on the Roglic page).

they're still bellyaching about his Dauphine crash, which was his own fault. you know who would probably have a Tour win without a bad Dauphine crash? Roglic.

Vuelta isn't happening guys, and for good reasons. In fact, there's only one reason to go and that's if you have the bucket list item of doing all 3 GTs in a year, which Rog did mention at one point. But that also reads like one of these "never gonna happen" ideas.

What you do is you go home, you go on a 2 week vacation with the family, you get home, you start training again, and do some racing in the fall season centered around the WC ITT, maybe the Euro's, Lombardia, with maybe Tour of Luxemburg in there to try and get some wins too.

I think it's more the combination of all crashes and the amount of time off the bike. Roglic was never extremely long off the bike. Roglic seems to heal extremely well, or not crash that hard when he crashes.

Really? I feel like I have been told throughout the last 5 years that Roglic heals like a granny. His fans always points to crashes, even relatively minor ones, when explaining why he did poorly on a given climb/race and some of that might be true. And yes guys, Im obviously not referring to 2021 and 2022 TdF crashes

I meant more in the long term. Obviously if he crashes during TDF, it has an effect on the TDF. But clearly has no effect on his performance during the Vuelta of the same year.
