A lot of very hard stages still coming, he can even finish on the podium. Difficult to asses how long Lipowitz can keep this up.

He's very clearly racing for Lipowitz though. While disappointing, I don't think that's very surprising or wrong.
It is probably right, but sometimes he must think he would be better off with no teammates after his experiences with Jonas, Kuss and Lipo 🤣

I mean at this tour Roglic has now done more teamwork than the rest of his team ha ha.

Brian Smith was a bit blind today, I think, i.e. questioning what Rog and Lipo were doing behind Vinge & Pog after Vinge's attack.

Clearly they were working over Onley to both gain time on him. Hence the two pronged attacks.

Van Dijke has done a few good turns.

Really I'm not bothered too much if he gets 4th or 5th and he stands there on the Champs Elysees saying "I'm bery happy uh, Paris sure is a lot changed since I was last here ah".

For me it does really show Rog was ready to cook for Finestre.

That was the best Roglic has looked so far. Definitely on the upward path and now in 5th. I think he can get 4th by Paris and he should help Lipowitz hold 3rd / white jersey.

I think he'd get 3rd were it not for team duties. Jonas is going to ramp it up in Alps - expect Lipowtz to get weaker - Roglic will get stronger relative to the field.

Same sh*t happening again like in TJV.
Nah…Lipo earned his position. He has 2:40 on Rog and is on the podium. I wish we’d gotten to see what Rog could have done today though. 3/4 is realistic them, Lipo could crack badly on Loze in which case Rog should be freed but for now they’re playing it correctly.

Given his bad prep (even setting aside his age and the crashes and illness long at Simon Yates for shirt rider comparison), a minute off Pogacar on a record breaking Ventoux ascent is unreal.

Agreed, although Lipowitz fought through today with Primoz's help. It does look like they will finish 3rd/4th in some order by end of Stage 19. Great job navigating through the other contenders.

I'm my mind there is no way a fit and healthy Roglic loses to Yates at the Giro. But that's always been his burden to bear - it's not easy staying healthy / upright.

Looking forward to him getting to Paris! He was never going to win and 3rd vs 4th when it's you or your young teammate is neither here nor there when you already won 5 grand tours, have been second at the tdf, won every major week long stage race and gold at the Olympics.
