Damn - now I feel like a bad fan :)

But the stage you mentioned is another example where he quite comfortably kept his advantage when going downhill, maybe even in increased it a bit during the more curvy upper part of the descent…

Another possibility is that his real problem is just peloton positioning and not bike handling per se.
I think that was the message a certain sprinter gave him last year while riding him into the ditch. His descending skills are very good but doing that solo and in a group can be different. I would guess he has improved those skills. He has the team to keep him at the front.

Hopefully this time Roglic will be able to hold this jersey until Nice.

It's going to be difficult if his teammates cannot climb, i.e. yesterday could have been a disaster.

He certainly didn't look happy after he crossed the line. Dennis did a good job but they shouldn't have left their leader alone so far from the finish.

Pretty cool story from Mørkøv yesterday:

Mørkøv kunne ikke finde en plads - så kom Roglic med uventet hyldest - TV 2

Here's the most important part (Google-translated):

- When I am picked up by the favorite field, I look back, and it is actually a very small group. I then try to get in and get a good position in the group, and there are not any of these mountaineers who want to let someone like me in, says Mørkøv to TV 2 SPORT and continues:

- But suddenly there was a small hole. I look back and there Roglic sits and shuts me in while he says, "I always respect an Olympic champion."

Not relevant but Roglic absolutely trashed my team in 2021 Tour game when I had Pogacar, my own rider (basically WVA 3.0), Evenepoel, Carthy, Mas, Dumoulin, Ganna, and Demare. Roglic lost time and every stage but two that finished on HC climbs. Took minutes on both stages and the second even went on a long range attack on a 40 km solo attack from the 2nd to last climb climb. He then held a min lead over Pogacar and WVA 3.0 and even stayed on a crazy stage that saw Pogacar, WVA 2.5, Mas, Evenepoel, and Carthy attack on the second climb of the day over 100 km out and they just had a group with the 5, Carapaz, Bernal, and Roglic. Roglic was unphased and didn’t lose anytime despite my constant attacks. Pogacar would finish 2nd, WVA 3.0 3rd, Evenepoel 5th, Mas 6th, and Carthy, 7th overall.

This means Roglic will win the Tour this year.

This guy too! He and TP having this form already makes me excited now, but also in anticipation of races later on the calendar! I hope that a few other guys/teams can step up to the challenge as well!

Everyone now is waiting for the Tour de France, 2022. I pray that Roglic and Pogacar arrive at the startline of the Tour healthy, and that they don‘t crash in these three weeks.

Roglic vs Pogacar is much better than Ullrich vs Armstrong. Ullrich never had a chance against Armstrong.
Roglic and Pogacar are at the same level. They both are as good as Armstrong was.

I think it is possible that Roglic wins the TdF 2022. It is also possible that Pogacar wins the TdF 2022. They are both perfect. I suppose there will be only a few seconds between them in Paris.

Rog and Pog are the two best cyclists in the world, and their teams are the two best teams in the world.

Even Ineos, QS and Bahrain are one level below Jumbo and UAE.

I want to believe
I believed in Roddick vs Federer at Wimbledon
I believed in Murray vs Djokovic in Australia.
I believed in Netherlands vs Spain
I believed in Contador vs Froome
I want to believe again

I guess it's more like Contador vs. Merckx. As i guess Pogi can't be the new Rogla. Rogla after all is still competing. It would be something like Contador vs. Contador. That makes no sense to me. Hence Rogla vs Pogi at TDF 2022.

The duo surpassed hype? I mean it's (early) March.

P.S. AFAIK you can't buy a ticket for the Tour 2022 anymore. They are all booked. No boards allowed but the rumor has it Opi and Omi bought some front seats.
Good reminder about Opi and Omi: the reminder that folks now boarding the hype train should check the fine print on their billet, for the section that explains how many times long-anticipated grand showdowns at the Tour (and other GTs) can end up getting derailed by in opportune injuries and accidents, whether it’s Jan deciding to fly through the rear window of his team car, Andy dropping his chain, or Nibali unleashing his voodoo.
