I would never tinker with the Tour preperation by going to Switserland. Catalunya maybe but then I'd skip Itzulia.

No crashes this year, at all. This hasn't been noted yet but it's a significant improvement on 2021. The curse of ASO French races has also been lifted. Nice weather as well.

Poor Jonas Vingegaard though, i.e. after that dominant climb (where he appeared to almost drop Roglic like WvA in Paris-Nice), the hype in Denmark is going to be crazy huge.

Copenhagen in 3 weeks time is going to be massive for him. If the departure times in the opening ITT respect last year's hierarchy (which might be the case), he'll go second from last just in front of Pog.

Now winning Catalunya and TdS would be great. Then he has won all of these ca.-one week stage races.

Plus, in Giro, he was third; won the Vuelta (several times); was second in the Tour; was Olympic TT champion; etc. …

Plus, was World Champion in ski jumping!!! Don‘t forget about that!… These legs have experienced some special days and weeks already, within the last 33 years!

The "last year hierarchy" just sets the team order, not actual rider order. So I would expect Jonas to start in third to last group, WvA in second to last and Roglič in the last group, just ahead of Pogačar. Unless the weather plays a role, then we could have the thing completely reversed. But in general, the team decides the slots for their riders with team leader or a TT favourite from the team going last. Like Ineos might put Ganna in the last group instead of Martinez/Yates.

Exactly.

On one hand, one could argue, „Winning the TdF is not THAT much of a challenge; the race is overrated, even mediocre riders like Riis, Pereiro, Sastre, Evans, Thomas or Bernal were able to win it!“…

On the other hand, if you‘re very good (which Primoz is), but your opponent is Tadej Pogacar, year after year, that makes things more complicated…

Congratulations Primož for winning Critérium du Dauphiné.

Note that Primož is not the first Slovenian to win this race. No Pogi wasn't the first one either. It was Jani Brajkovič in 2010. Too bad for the knee issues as otherwise it would likely be a hat-trick. Said that i won't lose any sleep over it. Especially as after PN it looks like Rogla now finally can race and win stage races in France in a relaxed and dominant fashion. I read in local media that Rogla is now the fourth cyclist in history winning this both races in the same year. After Anquetil, Merckx and Wiggins. That one at the back of the motorcycle on Eurosport.
