I mean if Remco can't win this GT any more. Why wouldn't he help Rogla? For Remco to get even with Jonas for the Tour.
Sorry for the off-topic, but if Remco had to help someone it should be Landa.

Going back to Roglic, the division of labour going on at Jumbo has assigned him the mission of following Ayuso and nobody else. Roglic should pray for an Ayuso attack that sticks.

This would actually be great for Roglic. A task with highest probabilty of success.

I think it would be weird if Kuss is left alone as soon as (if ever) a potential GC threat (we're basically down to Ayuso and Mas now) manages to distance him with Rog and Vinge both going with the attacker. A more reasonable approach in my opinion would be for one of them to stick with Kuss and the other one follow the attack. If Rog gets to follow Ayuso I think that's actually pretty good for him. But I wouldn't count on that too much. Maybe each of them (Vinge/Rog) have pre-assigned rider they need to cover and maybe it will be decided on-the-fly by Niermann.

That being said, I don't see much chance of anyone distancing Kuss anyway...

God no. If Remco helps Landa to take the win. Then his future at QOS is sealed.

All this is more or less rest day bonanza. It's Sepp race to lose. That is other teams will attack and if Sepp will respond. Then he already won. If Sepp will have a bad day. JV has plan B and C.

I'm afraid you're the one doing the bonanza. We're just speculating on what plan B and C might be, since this is the only thing left to discuss - being that Kuss most likely already won.

I don't think he has "bad days", I think prior to this year he has done his job and then backed off a bit with an eye on the next job. He might not be as strong/same type of climber as Vingo or Roglic but I think he is the equal of anyone else left in contention.

nah he does do that but there have been times where he's just been flat dropped even before he did any work.

Sepp likely should cope, when it comes to climbing. Stage 20 on the other hand is a bit of an unknown. We'll see.

Is Rogla winning the next two stages? I say yes...
Tomorrow I would say he's the biggest favorite, but I'm not sure about Angliru, he really struggled there last time. But that was in 2020 and the 2020 season was crazy, so not easy to know what to take from any race that happened that season.

They also installed the wrong cassette to his bike so he had 2 teeth less on the biggest cog than others.

Today looks perfect for Roglic and I think Jumbo could control it relatively easily and without there being a serious danger to Kuss' lead.

An article about Roglic (in Spanish)

Primoz Roglic's unfinished business is not La Vuelta: "I want to go for the Tour de France"

You'll forgive me, but I don't quite believe that you don't care which of the three wins La Vuelta.
Let's see, if I want someone other than me to win, it's Sepp [Kuss]. He is a drawer. On the other hand, I also have my responsibility to give everything in the race, so this last week... It's difficult. In the end, the best one will win. It's as simple as that.

Stage 20 really might be the hardest and only one where Kuss could get in trouble. Maybe something like In last stage of Catalunya playing out. Remco inevitably attacks, taking Ayuso and Almeida or Soler with him, maybe Vlasov or Cian too, and only Roglič from Jumbos able to respond. Pretty much the only way I can see for Roglič to win this Vuelta.

Q: Who are, according to you, the best three riders in the world?

A: According to me, I'm the best, it's simple.

Q: And the two behind?

A: I don't know, honestly.

Less humble than I would have imagined

Aren’t you supposed to be his fan? You proclaimed yourself to be one last week in another thread. You sure have awfully lot of complaints over his way of racing and over his character... For a fan, that is…
