In terms of GT racing i feel that the main idea for this season was to try to win Giro and then prepare good and go to the Tour relaxed. So in terms of results not much to show for Rogla still the position in the team was not so bad. If Rogla would be in position to contest for third i feel that the team would use Lipo to help secure it and Lipo is in some serious form so Rogla would actually have proper support. A new German superstar in the team can't be that bad for Rogla, potential addition of Belgium one would further push this team into pursuing AAA GT GC status, Italy is pressing too ... Rogla IMHO doesn't mind that, especially if riding the Tour in 2026 season as a sole GT. For Rogla a meaningful result would be to win it, he was second already in the past. The key to that is a strong team, without that forget it. We'll see.

So where is he going next year? I think Ineos would be a great choice. Great supporting squad, no real GC leader. I think with this enviroment it could be possible to fight for another Giro or Vuelta win. Would be more pessimistic if he would go to a team that has not much experience going for the GC like Tudor, Cofidis or Intermarche. Probably Movistar with the bigger budget could be also a great fit if he wants Giro and/or Tour leadership and leaves the Vuelta to Mas.

Most likely scenario is to ride Tour 2026 for RBH, this is something Rogla likely won't be able to avoid, even if he wanted to, so that is that. As for the rest, beats me, we'll see. We don't even know what races come after the Tour for the remainder of the 2025 season.

Yeah he's still under contract for 2026 so don't imagine him leaving. Then again he did break contract with Visma, which ran until 2025.

I would like to see him properly target the Ardennes classics and tour de Suisse

Ardennes classics is just a waste of time for Roglic in my opinion. I think I'd go heavy 1 week races (something like Tirreno/P-N, Pais Vasco, Romandie, Suisse) and then Burgos into Vuelta peak. At this point of his career that makes the most sense if you are trying to win and be as succesful as possible

Of course he could stay but he also had a contract at Jumbo. Why did he change teams then? Because he wanted leadership opportunities in the biggest races. With Remco there and the emergence of Lipo and Giulio I think he will have max singular Leadership at one GT and some one weeks. If he is ok with leading the Team at the Giro and getting leadership in Catalunya, Suisse and Pologne then of course he can stay. But why shouldn't he leave? Ineos and Movistar are great teams and they badly need someone like him to get better results in stage races across the calendar. also the supporting cast might be even better then at Red Bull. He can have guys like Ganna, Arensman, Turner, Swift and Tarling working for him in GTs. Maybe the level of high class mountain domestiques is at the moment a bit better at Red Bull but that is only if you think Hindley, Vlasov and Martinez can get back to their absolute best.

That was almost 3 years ago. I think he's done with TdF when he crosses the finish line today and he's content and happy with that. He finally got used to the new team and vice versa, I don't think he wants to change teams again at 36.

Congrats to Primoz making it safely to Paris. I don't know if he rides it again, but if he does I hopes in only in a support role with stage hunting in mind. I still think he has a Giro or Vuelta win in him, but who knows. I think he's happy with his career and it's all good from now on. I think just finishing this Tour was a goal of his.

Bittersweat TdF IMO. He completed the Tour but was a bit anonymous except when he did his kamikaze attack.
I'm almost certain he is close to finish his career. If not this year, maybe next

The fact this race was so hard for him simply demonstrates how amazing his achievements have been in his career over the past 7 years. It's a hard sport. Anything less than top shape and you become anonymous.

He came to the Tour in questionable form (after crashing several times in the Giro) and came very close to finish in the top5.
In the end he still finished top10.
At almost 36 years old.
Job done.

Chapeau Roglic. 5th strongest rider in the race, could have ended 4th with some better tactics to Col de la Loze.

He would probably be 4th or 5th in GC if he would care about it but he rather went in kamikaze attack for stage win. With proper preparation (no Giro and no injuries and sickness) he would be 3rd. Washed? Absolutely not.

He won't retire an leave 5M on the table. So next year he can go all in for Tour or rather Giro/Vuelta. I think Tour is such an event you can't say no to. So Lipo for GC and Roglič for stages.
