Vuelta could be an option but in terms of GT racing the season was already a bit packed. Finishing the season with a GT win would be nice but at the risk of burning out completely. So ATM i am a bit sceptical. At the Worlds hence if doing Vuelta likely road race is not to be serisussly attempted but if not doing Vuelta then IMHO maybe it's time to become a world champion. Working for Pogi in any case is likely off the table this year, due to UAE not easing off when Rogla went for it at the Tour. So best if Pogi relies on some other riders this year, riders that basically don't demand anything in return and are OK if the relationship is more of an one side affair. Pogi can still ride for himself and finish second, though.
What a difference it would make compared to Zurich where Roglic worked 5 seconds 😅

Honestly, with this year's Vuelta route, I have the feeling Primoz would be in contention even with the Giro and Tour de France under his legs. It seems designed for his current version (he's still at his best on single-climb stages), but maybe that would also mean speeding up his final as a cyclist.

Vuelta aside, I don't see any attractive realistic goals. Lombardy and the World Championships will be Pogacar's, while his compatriot also seems to be aiming for the European Championships. Honestly, I see him with a better chance of winning the World ITT, although he'd have to prepare very specifically, and that might mean bad for his endurance for the Road Race and Lombardy and maybe only in exchange of a medal or top 5 finish.

No, at 36, Roglic wouldn't have challenged agoinst Vinggaard in his third GT. In the Tour he hasn't even come close to him.
Pogacar needs rest, and Roglic doesn't, with two GTs almost complete?
Pogacar would've had more options in this Vuelta.

It was said here that Roglic would be stronger in the Tour than in the Giro. Like Pogacar did, Roglic would do it, when that's never been the case except for a select few in his first race.

I like Roglic, bit I don't like how things are twisted in his favor. First, he was going to have a better Tour doing Giro-Tour because Pogacar did last year. Something that only the best have achieved and in their peak.
For years, he's been made into a moral winner of Tours he wouldn't have won. He didn't beat a neo-professional Pogacar.

And now we're going to make him the moral winner of the Vuelta doing 3 GT? Please, no 😅

Rogla to work for his new temmate, Remco. Pogi won't be too happy about it.

If Rogla only to focus on ITT performance then he could shred the field on Kigali, as wingman, but then again the climate will likely suit him and at one point it makes sense to become world champion. So i guess he will save this bullet this time, for deeper into the race. Lets not forget Rogla was basically training for the Worlds the whole season, initiating mucho loco long rangers. Slovenia won't chase him down this time and good luck to other nations trying.
