The dynamics will likely be different this time, bigger but still a rather select group, deeper into the race. If Rogla will try first i doubt that Pogi will chase.
Maybe not but he'll certainly follow the first serious pursuit. It would be interesting if they both ended up in the final selection.

Either Rogla to focus fully on ITT, then i assume to possibly make a strong pull on Kigali, or what is IMHO more likely indeed both still there, deep into the race.

Carapaz took one good look at the route and cancelled Vuelta immediately, Rogla has to feel it too, this is a good chance to become a world champion. Either in ITT, RR or both. We'll see.

I think Roglic should, in hindsight, have never left Visma. Back when he did I thought it was his best move to leave Visma. But now I think he should have stayed and retired there.

Hindsight is 20/20.

In a strange way I think it changes very little unless we just assume he doesn't crash out of especially the Giro this year.

Yeah sounds like's gonna call it end of next year, or even end of this year. Israel doesn't have to bother with the money they suddenly have of not having Froome anymore.

At Visma he likely would not be Danish aligned and would face the same scrutiny as van Aert does, or bigger, he would get paid much less, would never wear Red Bull helmet ... At RBH IMHO he was always designated leader and it was up to him to do with that what he could at some point in time. Even the arrival of Remco IMHO doesn't change that much, could turn out to be beneficial, Rogla doesn't want to finish third at the Tour anyway. From sports point of view he got some nice results riding for RBH, finished a Tour too.

So i don't see on how staying at Visma could possibly be a more positive outcome than that. I personally am glad he left. And there is still the remainder of season 2025 and a whole season 2026, on where for the most part its' up to Rogla, to do with it whatever he wants. Beyond that we'll see.

It's a crit in the Netherlands against Van der Poel.

Not sure if organisers realised you can't tell Roglic he's not allowed to win, or if they wanted Roglic to win it for some inexplicable reason.

If I'm reading this right and there's the possibility Rog went rogue and won a rigged criterium he shouldn't have, then I hereby elevate it to top 7 of his career wins to date.

4 Vueltas, 1 Giro, 1 Olympic gold medal and "le critérium de la gloire volée". Yes, I just made that title up but the premise of pinching VdP's criterium win is just too tasty.

I think there's simply also a chance that Van der Poel coming back from pneumonia was just so *** he said "don't rig it for it for me cause we wouldn't even really be racing"

He is cooked for good but he had a great career. A shame he started so early.
And I guess I am right once again and he will not reach 100 wins in his career.

Currently i would say Pogi is more cooked then Rogla. Pogi started the retirement talks first and told the journalists to basically buzz off. Rogla is meanwhile still consistent in being Rogla. As for claiming you are right, that Rogla won't reach 100 wins, AFAIK Rogla hasn't retired yet, so your claims are IMHO a bit far fetch, not to say bogus.

Autumn triple crown can still save Rogličes season as a whole. In terms of being up there with the rest of the best seasons so far.

From Rogličes perspective the main question is on how to win the Tour. In era on where journalist are making Jonas say Pogi is the GOAT at every chance they get at Vuelta. Now if that means being cooked, then who isn't?

Anyway, Rogla requested for Remco, to further strengthen the team and lets see on how that one pans out in 2026 season. Something ought to be cooking up for that, considering third place at the Tour is rather reserved for RBH anyway and nobody really wants it all that much.
