I sincerely doubt Pog will ever do the Vuelta when it's positioned awkwardly on the calendar for anyone targeting the Worlds - which Pog obviously does.

At what point does a missing Vuelta victory outweigh yet another mere worlds?

IMO It would be good not just for Pog but for the minor grand tours if the Giro and Vuelta scheduling were alternated every year.? But knowing how slow wheels turn this might not happen in time before Pog begins to decline.

Both of them need to improve A LOT to challenge him.
Not impossible, but I don't find it likely that both, or even any of them will challenge him. Close the gap a bit, or even cut it in half (5 minutes)? Perhaps.
Realistically challenge him? The gap is way too big.

Lipowitz hasn't even close to Vingegaard, second. That would be the first step, still far from first rider.

True, but he’s young, and getting better each year. It also helps there are two of them

Unfortunately years of bad luck kind of does represent Roglic.

Which puts his achievements in different perspective. Even though he is extraordinarily unlucky (or a terrible bike handler, doesn’t really matter now) he is still one of the most successful GC riders of his generation.

Most of his crashes are just being in the wrong place at the wrong time like Omi-Opi and the moving hay bale of death. Just about the only one I really fault him for was the sprint one with (was it?) Fred Wright. There may be others that were his fault but I can't think of any as glaring as that.

It really depends on the level difference. If it's sufficient no group attacking will do. It payed off at the Tour 2022 because Vingegaard was just too good: he was never troubled by Pogacar in the mountains that year. Obviously Lipo is still young and can improve, Remco too. They would need a substantial leap though and hope Vingegaard doesn't improve.
