There was some guy Podlogar or whatever who was performance analyst or director for RBH and he made the mistake to go on some podcasts and expose himself just how little understanding he has. I was quite hopeful for Rg's sake when I read that he was gone from the team. However, based on Remco's performances, maybe they have someone even worse now. Hopefully that is not the case and Rog, himself, knows what he needs to do.
He was nutritionist and when he was at RBH they won Giro and Vuelta.

Ironically he'd be more free if Evenepoel was lighting things up with Red Bull. Rog mentioned himself how he could benefit this season by just racing and not concerning himself with how the team is run and all that stuff that bogged down his first two years in the team. A top Evenepoel = much less pressure.

So let's say the team has a worst case scenario and the TdF is a a typical Ralph Denk-led disasterclass from the team. Suddenly the Vuelta looks like a pressure cooker again. Just like old times.

Really sounds like was burnt out last season, and I would not be surprised if that's the reason Roglic has personally decided not to do the Giro as well as the Vuelta.

Let's hope so. I just posted something regarding his form last year in the Evenepoel thread and yes your theory here makes sense. Especially since his coach said he advised him not to do the Giro-Tour double.

I think he could've done a good Giro-Tour double, but not a Giro-gravel-asphalt-asphalt-asphalt-Tour sextuple.

Rogla was rather great in the 2025 season till the crash fest. Without that i am sure that his Giro/Tour performance would bare much more fruit. Del Toro will be a good test on what to expect in 2026 season.

P.S. Hopefully Rogla not to be forced to do the Tour as a result.

I would say: Hopefully he does the Tour with the proper preparation.
Also, hopefully, it is clear to the RBH team that Rog is their best rider. Lipo is just a guy and Remco... well he has never been a serious GC guy anyway.

@Divergence

Rogla IMHO doesn't mind if other superstars are in the team and if they ride beside him. As long as he is supported and respected as such. Lipo and Remco and others IMHO shouldn't perceive Rogla as a threat to their stardom. I feel that Rogla proved that on multiple occasions in the past.

He looks super skinny here! Seems like readying himself for a great chant de cygne season

Would be good to see at least someone at RBH able to climb

I was hoping for Remco to beat del Toro and as that didn't happen i feel that it's almost a must for Rogla to beat second in command at UAE. Otherwise RBH might not end up challenging Visma in this season, somebody like Lidl-Trek to challenge RBH instead.

So lets see on what GOAT week long stage racer has installed for UAE at TA.
