An interview with Peiper about different aspects of the sport. Considering he is working as strategic advisor for RBH and based on the sentiment of the article i guess they would rather see Rogla to become a support rider for younger riders then to start winning races again.

Hopefully for Rogla to prove them wrong in terms of reconsidering such postion. We'll see.
This Peiper guy reminds me of the Inigo San Milan fraud.
Both jumped on the Pogi wagon when he won his first 2 Tours and their importance was greatly exaggerated.
Rogla is a great champion who'll be mentoring his young teammates by crushing the competition.

Peiper was the DS for Pogacars first ever race the 2019 TDU. He has jumped on the bandwagon.

Riders like Roglic are fairly simple in a way. You gotta keep them motivated. If they like their schedule where they occasionally help out a young guy out, that's great. But it's unlikely it's gonna keep him motivated if that's going to be his full time role.

And if such a transition happens, it's a very individual thing. Some great champions did gradually move to become domestiques fairly often, but many don't.

Absolutely disgraceful way of treating such a champ, but it just reinforces what I think it's happening behind the scenes. I don't know how much this guys is involved in rider's training and performance but he seems to be confident about Roglic having declined to a top 10 rider instead of a winner like the team was still talking about in the team camps and his recent races.

Time will tell who is right but he should shut* his big mouth and leave this sort of comments to their internal meetings.

BTW I hope he follows this guy's advice to switch to a super domestique role guiding the youngsters and goes to UAE to help Pogacar crush even more races and make this clown look like the tool he is (even more).
