The general public doesn't care. They only care about what's happening at the front end and who's winning.

Rog's 'misfortune' is that he's still a top 8 climber this season in the races he's been in which means he makes the selection of the final small group but then can't follow when whomever is best on the day goes (in Itzulia he did follow Seixas and got blown off the wheel).

As for your comment about what other teams might or might not do, that's not really your decision is it? If he wants to continue he'll find something and if not he'll retire. Simples.
At least we have better context now for just how good Seixas is.

I guess it must be quite worrying for RBH when someone "who has given up, who has completely checked out and who doesn't give a ****", is still the best on the team today.
You think RBH is "worried" that Roglic beat Lipo by 2 seconds on a 3k TT?

That's the difference of taking a better line on one corner. Or a touch more punch at the end. Come on.

I know right? What's with all the drama in here suddenly?
Roglic is just gonna Roglic.

He's never serious in pre-race interviews anyway, although not everybody seems to be able to pick up on that due to his dry delivery, it seems.
I think he knows what's up: he's over his peak.
He'll try to be as useful as he can during the season, and give it his all at the Vuelta one last time. And even if he doesn't win, I think he will be perfectly content with his career. And rightfully so.

I think there's a beautiful irony in that some of his most dedicated fans could actually learn a lot from his zen-like mindset.

Part of RBH for sure, that is doesn't want Rogla winning any more, as they would rather see some other rider do that instead and for Rogla to support such goals. After all co-leadership was never offered for the Tour 2026 and Peiper was rather blunt in what strategy he is proposing to the team, considering he is strategic advisor.

But anyway, who cares. You can't keep a good horse down.

It was *** how Lipo and FFB rode for their own results instead of leading Roglic out on the ultimate climb. If they would have rode for him Roglic is celebrating season win number 1.

Fixed that for you.. This, of course, if we extend these duties to Pellizzari in TA

He didn't care or didn't Didn't. Not sure what conclusion you expect from us.

He didn't didn't.

Both the Roglic and Remco threads are full of:
  1. People telling the respective fans to wake up and realize they can’t compete with PVS in GTs
  2. Respective fans saying that they can’t compete with PVS in GTs
  3. @CyclistAbi
Just an observation.

On rare occasions in the Remco thread, they don't race together.

It was bu!!sh!t how Lipo and FFB rode for their own results instead of leading Roglic out on the ultimate climb. If they would have rode for him Roglic is celebrating season win number 1.

We'll see.

Since Remco and Lipo expect best treatment in the team because they think they are nr. 1, I would expect them to be better then Roglič in any scenario and be closest to Pog as possible. And then you see a 38 year old washed up guy beats Lipo in the first stage and the other drops like a rock on any hill. Come on.

It's shocking that people still take Roglic' quotes seriously.

The man is entirely unserious in any pre reace interviews.

He didn't downplay or *** the interviewers, he flat out said he wasn't going for GC. I don't think he has ever went to a race to just be there

I don't see why he and the team are choosing races he can't win on his farewell year, it's not as if the rest are winning left or right, it would've made more sense to send him to farm easy races and pad their stats while their younger stars face the monsters.

And you can't tell me it makes sense to do the bare minimum and expect to be at the top level for the Vuelta where he will face Seixas if rumours are true. The young Frenchie was hard dropping him a few weeks ago, one would think Romandie is a good test for Roglic to see if he can improve his Itzulia shape
