Ideally he would ride Tour de Suisse, it's the only one week race missing in his palmares.
Unfortunately for him Pogacar would be there too this year.
He should have done that in the past years when he had the chance, now it's too late

Now even Vingegaard seems to be on the path to win all the big 1 week stage races. I wouldn't be surprise if Vingegaard participates to the 2027 TdS

If CSS fits with the altitude camps, I'd enjoy a serious crack at that.

Last year he was entirely unserious in that one
His team doesn't care about him having serious cracks at races that suit him, otherwise he would have done fleche. No doubt they'll send him to tour of Belgium or something and then 1 week before his big vuelta he will have to go to Czech tour to work for aleotti.

Rogla has been the master of avoiding Teddy outside the Tour but RBH told him to race two swiss stages vs his compatriot this year. It seems he has little to say regarding his scheduling after the arrival of Remco and the rise of Lipo.

Unfortunately, this is closer to the truth than a joke.

Whose fault is that? Maybe if he was in a decent shape it was interesting enough to send him. Nowhere before Fleche did he show he was in any shape to do anything during Fleche

Good point. In the end it was the right decision to go with hindley who showed plenty before the race and came away with p33 which was a great result for the team.

I don't know what they expected from their team, but Roglic completely bonked during Basque. Even his fans say he isn't good enough at the moment. So why does it matter if Fleche was added?

Basque final stage was a weather thing, it wasn't a complete lack of any form.

But I also think it's not like Red Bull are sabotaging him, and Fleche is basically the one good race for him he didn't start.. Probably he needed a short break after Itzulia, and when Evenepoel opted out of Fleche all schedules were long decided.

I do wonder if there's a really big red line going on with Roglic and Evenepoel not racing together or not, but it's not like Roglic ever prioritized Fleche.

That said, I think if he had raced it with a normal planning he easily walks into the podium.

Does he? The whole new approach from 2025 was long climbs, less focus on his accelleration. I haven't seen a proper stomp in a very long time, and I don't think that's form related, but how he trains. So even in that case, I'm not sure he could do much during Fleche. There were also some steep Murs at Tirreno, he was also nowhere to be seen there.

None of the murito's in Tirreno were fresh.

We even saw in the Romandie prologue he still has a decent 3 minute effort in him without properly training for the race. I just think that race suits him that much.
