Still unbelievable that Nibali's successor will retire before Nibali himself. I'm thankful for the great memories from 2014 to 2017. He was part of many memorable moments and even though his peak was so short he retires with a great palmares.

Not a rider I particularly cheered for, even during his peak years, but his personal and sport struggles made me warm up to him.
Watching these superhuman athletes go through difficult times like all of us is always a learning experience. Life can be tough even if you're on top of the world.
