After January training camp with the team, Fausto has gone to Teide. He is doing a 3 weeks altitude camp and is there with Lorenzo fortunato at the moment

Fausto start his season at the Vuelta Murcia on 15 February.

Fausto confirmed at his Instagram account the first races of the season

-15/02 (tomorrow): Vuelta Murcia
-21/02: Classic Car
-22-23/02: tour alpes maritimes

Tomorrow his debut for the new team and they sent some strong riders to get as many uci points as possible. There are some hills on the course, it suits attacking riders like Fausto.

It will be his debut in Murcia, and var classic is a new race, but Fausto races the tour alpes maritimes before in 2020, taking a top 10 in the general classification.

He just came down from Teide, the training camps in the last few weeks have gone well from what I understand, no setbacks

Obviously the last few seasons have dampened my expectations and excitement for his races, but I will still be looking for him and cheering him on, willing him and the team to a good result with his attacking audacious style. I think we all will be.

I also saw high achieving tweeter 'naichaxacycling' call Fausto's move to Astana a 0/10 transfer, rating it the worst transfer of the off-season

Expectations are low.

He was in the second part of the peloton that split off from the front guys on the final climb today in Murcia. Not horrible.
