Ever been to Alicantina? I think those are my favourites, even better than Santiago!!!

Also Varela won't be on the starting 11, Nani will. A shame Bento still insists on having Meireles playing from the start. A guy that must be replaced after 60 minutes because he is exhausted shouldn't be on the starting 11 imo. Bento should have experienced with Carvalho playing in Meireles position. The guy isn't very fast but is a total physical beast and almost never makes a wrong decision. I saw a video analysing his last game and he had something like 90+% rate of best choice in passes with 1 good pass that wasn't the best choice and only 1 bad pass.

Also our lack of strikers is embarrasing. I hope Bento goes with Eder and not Almeida.

In the friendly last Wednesday against us when we got battered(I know we were missing 7 players from our best 11), it was my first time seeing Carvalho play and I was hugely impressed.

You can see why there's a fair bit of hype about him.

Someone knows where the refs come from?.....
I am about to bet on POR. Can´t resist to take the 4.2 odds. Unless the refs come from a small volcano island.

Better than Santiago? Wow that's a bold statement, never but it's on my shortlist since now. :D

Yeah, Meireles can't more than 60 minutes at high level, Veloso could play at Meireles position and Carvalho would be our DMF, but Bento is very conservative in his lineups, we won't see any major shakedown.

Was just kidding... for the political correct. :D
Anyway, there must be some great looking from Ghana or so, almost matching that stunning England lady. ;)

Ok, forget the refs... I just pray for them being invisible.... Placed a small amount (10 € at 4.2 odds) on POR, and protect the bet with 4 € on tie, in case the game ends with a tie (speak I´d go out of it +/- 0)...

Will be a quite nice adventure again. Silently cheering for POR, but officially for GER, of course. :)

Today's shot in the dark - GER and NGA to win, USA to draw.

CR4 leaves the game early 'injured', POR gets at least one red.

2 other favoured teams went 1-0 thanks to a luckyish penalty.

Both ended up losing.

So still hope for Portugal.

Absolutely. As a supporter of, amongst others, Barca, Messi, and the Dutch national team, I have a particular aversion to the Portuguese national team in general, and to the prima donna in particular. :p

Right, I gotta go and won't be near a tv till Wednesday, apart from the Belgium game which I don't care about.

Any chance I'll be able to get to Wednesday without hearing the results of this or Brazil :p:eek:

You can always rely on Pepe to be an idiot.

Well dont have to worry about this match anymore I see it's over, so only Brazil tomorrow I'll try to put my fingers in my ears

What did pepe do?

And **** him. Now Germany can rest their team for the 3rd game and get a walk in the park in the r16 with Russia or Nigeria.
