I think she usually doesn't want to wait for when sh.t is really going down, because she lacks a bit of power to follow the Vollerings or Kopeckys... that is, before today. Because in the only race on the calendar that is decided by pure power, and power alone, she suddenly wins.

A very popular win, of course, and just utterly deserved. She was simply the strongest.

I almost said last night,I fancied Puck if Puck has learnt to not do Puck things, her Amstel form was good,so she could totally win this. but it was almost, a bit like how some of the riders almost made the podium.

but was there another podium beer celebration ? :D

Well, yes, it's decided by pure power, but it's about a certain 'type' of power, or power in a specific type of circumstances, which she was more suited to and - as Pantani_lives says, is more conducive to the type of efforts mountain bikers put out, hence why you have people like Langvad on the podium back in 2019, PFP winning in 2014 and Jolanda Neff in the top 10 in 2016. You'd think a "pure" power test would mean seeing the likes of Chloe Dygert winning, and nobody really expects to see her on the podium on the Mur.

The Mur is so often about timing, van der Breggen always said she had her place that she went and she would ignore everybody else until then, because if they went earlier they wouldn't be able to sustain it when she upped the pace, and if they did and they stayed away, there would have been nothing she could have done about it.

The Chloe Dygert example makes no sense, because it's about relative power, as in watts per kg. I do see what you mean though, it's more of an explosive effort, but Van der Breggen and Vollering have made it so hard from the bottom in the last few years that it wasn't really about explosiveness anymore. Today Demi tried to do the same, but still Puck prevailed.

Previously when it was really about raw watts, Puck always came up slightly short. This is the first time, or one of the first, where she just simply was too strong for Vollering. At least I haven't seen that before.

I don't think that is completely accurate. Vollering has won many races by being the strongest climber and could have won even more if she hadn't crashed or given/beeng forced to give victories away to teammates. Also being the strongest climber was not even enough for AVV to win this race.
