Yes. He will do that.

Btw.: did you see the German Teams choice for musical support in this years Womens Euros that I posted in the Music thread?

To be fair, our team got one of the currently more popular Danish groups to compose their anthem and that didn't exactly help much. I guess we should have brought someone like Dorthe Kollo back into the limelight instead.

Today was outstanding!! Lipowitz kept his head as his main support rider rolled the dice, went off the front.. Lipowitz or Roglic could not have known just how motivated UAE would be to chase down Roglic who is not on GC radar. One of the few times UAE used a bunch of energy to keep gap close and Pogacar didn't, couldn't take advantage. Lipowitz used everything to his advantage and didn't waste energy in drag racing Vingegaard or Pogacar, instead the German took temporary refuge and made additional distance from Onley and others because 1,2 riders in TDF just go faster than everyone else!! Florian has made dozens of smart moves in the TDF..

Big Lipo, what a fantastic first Tour for him. I really hope they dont sign Enevepoel, Lipowitz is a far better Tour de France prospect for the next 5 years.
I really can not understand the complete focus on the TdF.

Does Lipo win you a Monument or a World Championship the Next two years? Nope, he just lacks the explosivity atm.
Just sign one of the best riders out there atm and figure out the GT leadership for the Next two seasons..you can not project anything longer anyway

I agree, they are very different riders outside of ambition for the Tour. Pogacar and Vingegaard are gonna ride next year anyway. Personally I'd have nothing against Lipo trying his luck at the Giro+Vuelta first to see if he can win one of those.
With shared Tour leadership it's a difficult thing to play, but it's not impossible. The problem this year wasn't that much that they had Rogla and Lipo, but that they had zero support for them in the mountains.

Im not sure I’d have Lipo do two grand tours next year. I could maybe see riding the Giro as a helper and intentionally dropping loads of time to make it more of a training ride, but mostly I think he should pick one GT to target with support. I’d prefer to send him to the Giro to fight for the win personally, unless he clearly levels up within the next 6 months and the team sees it in the numbers.

Remco is also important to Red Bull as they have almost no riders that can win on WT level and no rider that can win a big one day WT race. Remco also brings that to the team and the possibility to get stages via TTing. We also don't know if Remco really wants to do the Tour next year or will more focus on classics + Vuelta. Lipo seems to be an exclusive stage racer so he wont help you much winning Amstel, LBL, Lombardia, San Remo, Strade, Flanders or anything else. Remco can get on the podium in almost all of those.

If Lipo doesn't use his performance in this year's tour to cement his leadership position in precisely the same race next year, he could regret it for the rest of his life. Set some demands and go for it kid! There will be plenty of opportunities later to take on the other two GTs (sickness, crashes, palmares enhancement etc).
