Remember when Floyd was being rumored to join Rock Racing?

"Moving to Rock Racing however seems to make perfect sense for Landis. He has yet to admit that he doped in 2007, and he'll fit right in with the stable of unapologetic outlaws that Rock Racing has assembled over the past few years. Whether he'll be able to replicate the results of such riders as Paco Mancebo and Oscar Sevilla however is another matter entirely."

What was Floyd going to be? The DS? A Rider?

Would Floyd have any motivation to take the "heat" off Ball and the Novitzsky investigation by diverting atention to Lance?

You have to remember - the Novitzsky Investigation into Cycling started against Ball and Rock Racing for some unknown reason.

After Floyd's "confession", the attention shifted towards Lance.

Is Mr Ball breathing a sigh of relief?

What was Floyd going to be? The DS? A Rider? None of the above.

You have to remember - the Novitzsky Investigation into Cycling started against Ball and Rock Racing for some unknown reason. Maybe it did, but, there is a bigger fish on the line now.

After Floyd's "confession", the attention shifted towards Lance.

Lance wants and needs attention.

Is Mr Ball breathing a sigh of relief?
He could care less!

It is amazing you would have that take on the direction of the investigation. Ball was under investigation first for the distribution of drugs/peds. The FL allegations came after the initial investigation. The investigation was expanded. Who is more media identifiable, Rock republic jeans or Livestrong? I would be willing to bet you had no idea that Rock republic jeans filed bankruptcy in april of this year.

I do not disagree with anything you say.
I think we kind of agree:)

But back to my original question:
What is Floyd's relationship to Rock Racing?

Wha--???

For your conspiracy theory to hold any water, the scenario would have to be that Ball was a healthy and viable player in the int'l cycling scene. (?) He was sitting on a pile of cash, had a real team/budget, and was planning on going big in Europe w/ Floyd as his star. (??) Floyd played the loyal foot soldier by lying to the feds and throwing up a smoke screen that took the PED heat off Ball. (???). With the feds off the scent, the two of them now go forward w/ their big-budget plans to take on the European peloton; Floyd's redemption is sweet as he wins Paris-Nice or perhaps Milan-SanRemo in full Rock kit. (????)

Sooo close, except: BALL RAN OUT OF MONEY LONG AGO. His whole business scheme was based on selling $100+ jeans during a global recession.

This flim-flam man was wearing thin from the very beginning. Andreu walked. Cipollini realized it was smoke-and-mirrors, and walked. Chris Horner said he had been courted by Rock, but balked when the fine print said "no salary gaurantee, payments may be nixed at any time by owner's discretion". Then Ball started firing guys like Creed b/c he couldn't pay them. Then he sold off his car collection to put gas in the team camper van...

So again, great conspiracy theory, but it's as air-tight as the Rock slogans: "Here to Stay", "Rock's not dead!"

Desperate times call for desperate actions.
And yes, Ball was desperate....

My sources are now saying there was/is a personal "aquaintanceship" between Ball, Floyd, and a Mexican Billionaire named Carlos Slim!
Wonder where that "fresh infusion" of $$pesos$$ went??

"Landis has been linked to Rock since before his suspension ended, as a result of a personal acquaintance with Rock owner Michael Ball, and the team’s well-known penchant for signing former top European-based pros fresh off suspensions.

Rock was subject to a number of curious rumors last fall, including: it was switching its team reigistration to Mexico; it was jumping to Pro Continental status and targeting an ambitious European schedule; and it had a fresh infusion of sponsor cash from Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim..."

Slim Shady? Will the real one pls stand up?

I also heard they had signed a Mexican sprinter named Speedy Gonzalez. All extremely plausible. Selma Hayek was going to be the soigneur.

So Landis loaded with money from a Mexican billionaire via Ball was doing all this for his buddy Ball so he could go race in europe, all these emails and talking to the press about a 7 time TdF winner doping, blood transfusions on the bus, refrigerators in closets, motorcycle fridge panniers etc etc.....

Yep pull the other one...oops sorry you can't there is only one 'ball'

FAIL.

Ah, so now we know your "sources" that are now telling you about this "personal "aquaintanceship" between Ball, Floyd, and a Mexican Billionaire named Carlos Slim!" are actually 6-month old Boulder Reports.

Way to stay on top of things there...

Don't bother, you'll just confuse him...

There probably is some type of connection between the two (FL $ MB). I am not sure how that was a reason to ignore the other obvious connection between FL and LA?

The obvious connection (FL and LA) is not being ignored lol, but has caused many people to ignore the less obvious connection (FL $ MB).

Novitzsky, however, being the chief investigator in the Balco Scandal, will not be thrown off the track by the media diversion towards Lance.

Ball and Floyd, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid if you will, will be caught out in the end...

Exactly.

Hence the diversionary tactic of subpoenaing Lemond, his files, and the Trek files...

No doubt Novitzsky has been distracted from his original quarry.
And great diversionary tactic by Floyd no doubt again.

Ball and Floyd may THINK they are out of the woods.
But they think wrong. Novitzsky always gets his man!

So your real point is not that Ball and Floyd will be caught but more or less your upset because the fish hacks have missed the Ball on this one?

No matter how you look at it they both are “singular” ball. I would be willing to bet that the two of them at the same Grand Jury would still make just one Ball……
