I got a couple timeouts at different times through the day also. Once when submitting a post, another when sending a PM I think. Just reloaded the page though and it was fine again, so not too big a deal for me at the moment.

Hey. not much I can do over the weekend as devs dont work on those days. I'll ping them a message though and make sure they're aware of the problem

Lot's of 504 today. Let's hope the forum will be ready for the Tour.

doesnt seem likely. if the forum can barely deal with the dauphine then its going to break down completely with the increased traffic.

i guess it will be velorooms, or bikeretard :(

Yeah - me too. But having the same problem at VR! It's like, wtf?

And it isn't other websites at the same time - so I'm quite sure it isn't my machine or internal network. Besides, I do all this stuff on linux. Not malware-proof, but still less prone.

Yes I just hope that some of the anti-sky fans don't think it is a conspiracy on the part of CN to stifle Froome debate (or indeed Contador debate as it's looking atm ;) )

Velrooms too!? Then it is what I feared...Sky has finally figured out how to bypass any websites security and is slowly putting in place it's plan of destruction of all sites that doubt them!

I would guess that it is something to do with the volume of traffic. I'm on a new, quality laptop with Win 8.1, and am having no issues with any other site. There were a few of us posting in the WC topic in the Cafe last night, where I experienced none of the issues that I am now -

regular 504 Gateway timeouts

avatars not loading correctly

very slow navigation between forums and pages

I can't imagine how quickly the forums are likely to crash during the Tour, when traffic will (as we know) be substantially higher than now.

I've passed along the email notification problem along with the continued 504's and reporting not working to Dan.

Not sure if it's related but I don't seem to be receiving any email notifications anymore (yes, I checked the SPAM folder!) ?

I concur wholeheartedly
