Hi there,

I changed my old front wheel after crash on Kona Blast de Lux 2008. So i am having Alex XT 16 rim (for V brake) and no name hub (with cartridge bearings, and bolts for rotor) which spin nice when in hands or not thighten with QR.
But when i thighten it with QR with some medium force (i always care to not thighen it to much) it not spin nice at all, it stops after 10 seconds.

What might be a problem? End caps, fork bent.... Rotor do not scrub against pads it is just bent after crash. I had remove end caps, and everything seems ok inside. Those hubs should be same widht?

Appreciate any thoughts!

You need a couple of axle wrenches to loosen the nuts on the axle. Loosen just a little! When it sits in the fork, it should spin well.

I agree - you need a little lateral play in your hub before closing the QR.
But also you may be applying to much clamping force with your QR.
