CN has a review of this season.

Link to review

It's online now on Netflix.

The intro is a bit sad tbh, i.e. talking about how big money is the name of the game now and how these guys have sportscars.

As if we should be impressed when lower tier footballers earn more than most of cycling's top earners.

But it's a very Madiot thing to do, i.e. complain about how much money his rivals have when his own sponsor is the national lottery of France.

When Remco and his wife were talking about the Tour, Oumii (Remco's wife) told Remco he always follows Chimeras. ROFL
Even Oumii didn't believe he could win the Tour.

It also reveals new details and tension when Vingegaard refuses to work with Pogačar and Evenepoel to gain time on Roglič.

"I'm not allowed eh? C'mon," Vingegaard shouted when the three were on the attack, suggesting he had been told not to work by his directeur sportif.

Pogačar can be heard replying: "*** you!" Evenepoel later suggested that "sometimes you need balls to race, unfortunately, Jonas didn't have them today."

Pogačar suggested he was scared but the Dane said: "If I'd worked, I'm pretty sure I would have lost the Tour de France that day."

OK.

"The dream to win the Tour keeps you going," Roglič says.

Fair enough.

Near the end of the 2nd episode (about 35:00) there was an interesting fragment. Vingegaard and Zeeman are in the car and the latter says:
"On Sunday we hit them hard and isolate Pogacar".
Then they laugh. Was it about upcoming Plateau de Beille? Probably. It didn't end as well as they expected. I don't think it was about the gravel stage, where Jonas just wanted to survive.

I skipped to episode 5 after checking to see what was coming. Rogla's Tour DNF is a sobering moment which reaches Pinot levels of dramaturgy and tears.

Just kidding.

The man is as cool as a cucumber and despite saying 'it's hard' he really embodies that he's famous for, aka ice cold, no matter what's happened to him. I'm pretty sure we - his fans that is - were way more broken up by it all.

I've watched a few episodes. I'm enjoying it more then the previoues seasons so far.

First two episodes were ok, but they could have told Bardet's story line better. Saying it's his last Tour without giving any context or info about his past/career, makes it a bit pointless. His win could have made a wholesome episode and it wasn't. It lacked emotion at the end.

Rivalry between Poga, Vingo, Rogla and Remco is presented well. They speak about Vingo's accident just in the right amount. (Also, Pogacar is looking like a sociopath in the interviews lolol)

An entire episode about Decathlon-AG2R: B O R I N G.

The gravel stage (my favourite episode so far):
- Bla bla bla this type of stage doesn't belong in a GT bla bla bla
- Happy to see Pidcock eat some humble pie. I disliked him in previous seasons and now I dislike him even more;
- TotalEnergies HQ is awsome;
- I had no idea about Turgis brothers and the hereditary heart problems, so it was a fantastic ending for this episode.

You'd call him The Slovenian Seemingly Sociopath?

Pretty much. Ep. 3 was a downer - why is it deemed interesting to follow a washed up sprinter like Bennett? I didn't like the focus on the structure of Ag2R either. Only a bit of Gall, but what even happened to him? We won't know because we used half the episode on Bennett and the other half on in internal struggles between Decathlon CEO, Lavenu and the DS of the team. Pretty much just an irrelevant episode.

It was the only episode I wanted to watch, as Decathlon's takeover is (still) a really big deal in French cycling.

But I understand an episode dedicated to only one team that you don’t really care about can bore.

Roglic was more worried about beating Vingegaard than win the race.

On the contrary it showed he had the lucidity to know what the big goal was, aka second at best.

I mean people - including yourself - like to repeat ad infinitum that Rog can't win the Tour now so it stood to reason that within context of Vingegaard returning from injury last year that beating him could be a realistic objective and one to aim for.

He doesn't talk about Pog because there's no point.

By the way the show also suffers because the people they have giving broader scope and opinions (like Madiot, but also Orla Chennaoui and Steve Chainel) are just boring and offer absolutely zero insights of worth at any time. It's just sport clichés, economic clichés and platitudes.

Like Fifa commentary in a video game.

Some random thoughts of little value after watching season 3:

BINIAM GIRMAY should have been the centerpiece of the show. Netflix France did a poor job.

No doping story this time. WHY?

No FDJ but we got TOTAL and Arkea. Good.

A lot more AG2R than anyone would enjoy. Good to see the team management telling Bennet to "f*** sprint" that must have helped the morale...

The GC action insight we wanted was completely missing. Only Jonas telling Grischa that he didn't have the legs on s19. UAE provide nothing of value. Pog appeared like a bad person throughout. Ok.

My favorite person was again Patrick Lefevere.

Carapaz is a nice rider/person from what I can tell. Vaughters is not.

The gravel stage was good entertainment. I LOVE TURGIS.

Remco is kinda cool. Jonas is kinda nice. Tadej is neither, but he rides really fast. REALLY FAST.

I liked the segment where the riders joked about how ugly their TT helmets look.

Very poor overall.

I said the same thing earlier in the thread about how pointless Orla's commentary is in the first two seasons.

Orla Chennaoui: "To ride a bike, you put one foot on the pedal, push down and then put your other foot on the other pedal. Then keep pedaling".
