Customs: We have your package. Before we let it go, send us 3 specific documents to prove you were the one who bought it

Me: Huh? uhh....ok then. *Hands in the 3 documents requested*

Customs: Rejected. We also need a receipt from the store you bought this from

Me: You could've said that before, no? Also, I didn't buy it from a store, I bought it from a friend abroad. Anyway, here's the bank transaction receipt

Customs: Rejected. This receipt doesn't state a detailed description of what the transaction was for. We have no way of knowing that this receipt is for this package

Me: F********** THE THING IN THE PACKAGE HAS A ONE-WORD NAME. THE DESCRIPTION LISTED IN THE RECEIPT IS THAT WORD. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT????
Fine, here's a copy of the receipt the SENDER OF THE PACKAGE has kindly sent me, you'll notice it also states the detailed description of the content

Customs: Rejected. You'll have to provide the item serial number and the name of the store it was bought from

Me: WHAT. SERIAL. NUMBER?????
WHAT. STORE????

Let me just say that I absolutely hate having to shave every morning. I'm taking a break and growing a beard for the whole winter.

I didn't look at the bottle and assumed that we got some new shampoo..wrong it is some kind of minty face cleanser.Everyday after riding I was wondering why my face was on fire. Shaving feels like I am removing the first couple of layers of skin..going for the George Michael look for a week or so until I recover from not paying attention. The stuff made my hair really clean..go figure

My husband and I are flying via Paris to DC on Tuesday, October 12. So of course that day there will be a general French strike, an Air France strike and a French air traffic controllers strike.

I am NOT happy.

You have to go thru Paris???

Same thing happened to me in Sept. 2007, though I was on Continental back to Houston with a carry on. Obviously the controllers were not on strike then, but Air France was and the metro workers were, and the baggage handlers. The city was gridlocked.

A couple of coworkers had Air France flights. They were stuck at the Hilton CDG for 3 days before Air France would fly, and they couldn't get into the city because the metro was down and the roads were basically jammed. Imagine 3 days in Paris, for free on an expensed corporate card, and you have to stay at the airport Hotel.

We always fly Air France, Düsseldorf-Paris-Washington. It is usually the best price and by this time we have a lot of frequent flyer miles with them.

Susan

You can't get to Amsterdam to fly KLM and get the same frequent flyer miles?

I have to say I'm not a fan of the recent wet weather. It's been so bad that we've canceled races and postponed the Brisbane to Gold Coast 100km ride which was on Sunday. We've had 300mm of rain in the last 24 hours when it was recorded at 9am today.

You wouldn't happen to be in South Korea now would you? :D

I have a friend who is an English teacher in over there, and in terms of customer service, and if there is ever a situation where they have to think for themselves, or a simple task like answering a question, unless they have been trained to to give a certain answer, they're useless.

No complaint, but I wanted to update that we arrived in WAshington this afternoon more or less on time and with nothing more than the usual small difficulties. No sign of strikes at all, except possible fewer people at Charles de Gaulle airport.

My Cats been missing for 4 days, normally after 2 hours it demands fresh food, so im beginning to worry seriously.

This has happened to me a couple of times. People see the cat and assume that it is lost and re-home the cat thinking they are helping. Don't lose hope. I have one cat that returned home after 12 or 13 days excursion.

Do you have coyotes in your area?

I had one that routinely left for 4 day stints. Wish I could have had a cat cam on that little dude. But... all good things come to an end and I guess he didn't outlast the coyotes and foxes. I hope yours is just on a cat adventure.

My complaint is that the late snowfall is delaying ski season.
