A year ago now we had this same cold, snowy weather, but I was picking out our trip to Egypt, looking at lots of catalogs and websites of beaches and deserts.

This year, not.

Bummer.

Susan

Sharm el Sheikh is pretty awesome. I still miss all those ADAC travel catalogs with the super thin pages of vacation deals..

We were at Hurghada several years ago and did the NIle cruise in January. Lovely and warm (not hot).

Now I have no vacation to look forward to until Easter. :-(

Been twice to Egypt around this very time. It's gorgeous in December. :)

The Red Sea littoral over on the SP is a great place, if like me you can manage to turn a blind eye to all those armed guards and high fences, and in recent times the stink of new money. ;)

Ugh. no water since 5am. Cycling guests from France due tomorrow. No shower, no wash clothes, no mop floor, commodes are full. I'm sure it will be a memorable first day in Mexico for them. If I give them enough Tequila maybe they wont notice.

airlines make 2.6 billion from baggage fees. Now that hunting is done Amtrak announces that you can check guns into baggage. Beside more bathrooms trains have food when you want it and in the the NE corridor you can check your bike for 15 bucks. Screw the airlines and their 45 dollar cardboard bike box and the 105 dollars to check a 16 pound bike...and you have to sign a damage waiver that caps the bike damage at 1500..3000 if its lost. I hope wikileaks does something to the airlines..come on Julian

The car saga continues. So far the only place I can find the part I need is in the UK.
Here is my last attempt in the US
I need an auxiliary electric water pump for my 2000 LS2 3.0 V6 Saturn. I

Hello , I beleive this part has been removed. You need to go to your
local GM dealer and have them look up the bulletin 03-01-38-007a & 02-t-86
to inform you on what procedure to take.

Krebs, have you considered my solution? :D:p

What is my complaint? Going for a ride and leaving all my food at home.

God I hate this move of the faculty

Not sure if this is the right place to put it but i think cyclingnews have messed up the liquigas rosters

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/basso-dreaming-of-tour-de-france-win

Ivan Basso, Vincenzo Nibali, Roman Kreuziger, Franco Pellizotti, Alerio Agnoli, Francesco Bellotti, Daniele Bennati, Maciej Bodnar, Davide Cimolai, Francesco Chicchi, Tiziano Dall'Antonia, Mauro Finetto, Jacopo Guarnieri, Robert Kiserlovski, Kristjan Koren, Aliaksandr Kuchynsky, Daniel Oss, Maciej Paterski, Manuel Quinziato, Fabio Sabatini, Peter Sagan, Ivan Santaromita, Sylwester Szmyd, Brian Bach Vandborg, Alessandro Vanotti, Elia Viviani, Frederik Willems, Oliver Zaugg.

Sounds like the 2010 roster rather than the 2011 one. Im sure the likes of Kreuziger, Pellizotti, bennati have moved?
