Finish of stage 2 of Tirreno is different from last year's.

And that's the finish of stage 5.

Really cool finishes there, stage 2 and 5. Can most of the big name sprinters stay on for a steady 5% grade? What is their limit... 3% steady maybe?

The Fermo-finish looks very juicy indeed..
That whole stage looks great. Generally this route is so much better than last year. I'm really looking forward to it.

Good route, though bit of a shame there's no hilly stage like the one in 2013. But we haven't seen anything like that since then, so I guess it's too much to ask for.

Agree. Both the routes of P-N and T-A have some very well designed stages.

You guys are right about both PN and TA having nice designs. I looked at PN again, and stage 1 has a 1km ramp at 5% in the penultimate kilometre. Then false flat to the finish. The battle for yellow in the first stage will be between lots of different types of riders.

First stage a TTT, terrible, if there is a strong team will kill the yellow jersey fight in the first week.

Edit: my mistake, it's stage three.

This smells like a crash fiesta.

Nevertheless, a 35 km test against the clock for teams is always interesting. The Tour doesn't include them very often, but when they do, its at least 30-40 km, so chapeau in that aspect.

Actually my preferred option is 25kms of TTT and 35 kms of ITT - Think this is a nice balance.
