Apparently Evans was suffering from an infection, which explains his (bad) results this season. BMC's top priority is making sure he can get back to his 2011 level now. Evans says he was dissapointed about his results, but wants to come back strong.

He can defend his jersey in the road race, it's only the TTT that collides. ToB is from 9th-16th of September, the world's TTT is on September 16th and the RR is on the 23rd.

It's a tasteless comment, but also an interesting one. Mediocre cyclist gets illness, recovers, and suddenly turns into great cyclist.

I think having a young one being brought into the family can bring those types of illnesses and infections into the family. Hopefully he won't end his season early but his health must come first.

All I know is Phil called him a bad loser when he beat him at the Ster ZLM Toer. Well not Phil, but his DS. Tersptra was complaining that Lotto riders rode in his way to make him lose a sprint for bonus seconds.
