Indeed, it's quite mysterious how all of the team's big stars have suffered from this unidentified, peculiar virus which has totally screwed up their respective seasons. Really bad luck, I guess...
Guess so. Van Garderen and Phinney on the other hand are doing really well.

I wouldn't call a tooth infection mysterious.

Not exactly news, but I just noticed that the world TTT and Tour of Britain collides. That means that Bradley Wiggins can't take part in the TTT for Sky, which should certainly lower their chances.

Also means that Cavendish can't defend his jersey. Obviously he wouldn't have had a hope on this course (and so maybe wouldn't have been selected), but rather disrespectful to the event to make himself unavailable.

If, of course, he has already been told that he would not have been in the selection, the criticism is withdrawn: maybe British Cycling should have made their selection public so that the riders' opting into the ToB is transparent.

He can defend his jersey in the road race, it's only the TTT that collides. ToB is from 9th-16th of September, the world's TTT is on September 16th and the RR is on the 23rd.

Having worked in South America, and seen the effect of this illness on people's lives, I would like to say that I consider that comment reprehensible.
It's a tasteless comment, but also an interesting one. Mediocre cyclist gets illness, recovers, and suddenly turns into great cyclist.

I think having a young one being brought into the family can bring those types of illnesses and infections into the family. Hopefully he won't end his season early but his health must come first.

Leif Hoste says he is still suffering back aches, and that there's 50% chance he will retire after this season. (Sporza)

I was pointing to the fact that Froome turned into a better bike rider after getting ride of that. I don't even know what's Bilharzia's effects so I apologize if I offended someone with the comment.

Sorry, not really keeping up with all the fighting. Seems like there's frequently some sort of blows between riders.

All I know is Phil called him a bad loser when he beat him at the Ster ZLM Toer. Well not Phil, but his DS. Tersptra was complaining that Lotto riders rode in his way to make him lose a sprint for bonus seconds.

Anyone reading La Gazzetta dello Sport today?

Apparently they are reporting Italian World's team won't include Ex-dopers AND people currently involved in doping investigations (including Damiano Cunego, Alessandro Ballan, Enrico Gasparotto, Giovanni Visconti). LINK
