I remember watching our last stage win live in `92 when Roche won and it would be great if it could happen again and get cycling in the news over here for a change. I agree with Kelly as well when he said Nicolas Roche would be better off going for stage wins as well than to be obsessed all the time with doing a good GC. For me he is at a crossroads with his career and I think he has to make a decision one way or the other what type of rider best suits him. He did a good Tour and Vuelta in 2010 but last year he disappointed. Just recently he struggled quite a bit in Trentino and finished behind his 2 teammates Gadret and Dupont. He is doing California so we will see what he can do there on the Mt. Baldy stage and if his form is picking up.

hatcher said:He's had all sorts of problems. Possibility of the metal in the hip going toxic appears to have been the catalyst for this decision. Sounds like he hopes to come back at some later date.

It seems they took away many medals/trophies.
Zam_Olyas said:Didn't see that on the news, was it widely reported?
