Tour would be better for his London chances...

But if he did a GT in July it would leave him very lethargic for the Worlds and autumn classics. He might not be close to his best in London but should be strong at the Vuelta and finish off the season very well.

The tour would have exhausted him to much (mostly mentally).
OPQS would not have built a team around him anyway this year. 1 stage win would have been the best result possible.
Butter focus on Olympics and Worlds then.

He's as good candidate as any. The course is hilly to eliminate Greipel's and Cav's with strong riding but not enough to drop guys like Bonnen who are decent on hills.

Alongside Boonen has a great team to help him. He's definitely the biggest favourite imo along Sagan, but Sagan has the disadvantage of not having the team unlike Boonen/

I'm afraid the sky train will pull Cav over those hills, just like they did in this year's Giro.

I really doubt it. There are only 5 British riders to help Cav and they will be prone to attacks. It's possible but I think people over-rate Cav's chances at Olmypics.

It's not easy and Cav will have to fight hard to keep with the best on the hills. If he survives he will win but it will be tough for him. That small hill before the final will also tire him a bit. It's going be a big challenge.

He wouldn't fit at all. He likes to do things his own way and that's not how things run at Rabobank. Please, please, don't go there.
