Andy Schleck reported to be out of Tour de France http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/andy-schleck-reported-to-be-out-of-tour-de-france
So, how about Contador vs. Schleck in the Vuelta:rolleyes:?
That would be an unfair battle: Alberto has been seriously training for his return since he was banned and Andy has gotten worse and worse as the year progressed is now plagued with an injury that would affect his climbing. A duel between them in August would be more like a Corrida with Contador as the Matodor

So, Contador is gonna drop Schleck like a stone once, catch him in the TT and spend all the other MTF's giving stages away to schleck, seems plausible:mad:

Nah... No gifts this time round. The man is hungry.

I meant : you know how the matador kill the bull, don't you? one hand on the blade and the other behind his back. A contest between Andy and Alberto at the vuelta would have to demand that Alberto ride with one leg tied behind his back to give a chance to Andy

No. He had his best Roubaix to date. And his prologues are still solid.

To see a rider who showed such world class potential reduced to seemingly peaking to 1 race a year is sad though.

Marcel Kittel extended his contract with Argos-Shimano to include the 2014 season, it was 2013. Source is this video, in which the team manager states that they changed his contract by extending it to include the 2014 season.

In the TDF are stages, 2, 4, 5 & 6 all fairly certain to finish with a sprint?

I know you can never guarantee against a breakaway in any race, but do any of these four stages have anything that lends themselves to either crosswinds, a breakaway or even a sharp climb near the end and someone other than a sprinter winning?

Pauline Ferrand-Prévot who won the French ITT few days ago seemed to have crashed quite badly in the French RR today :( hopefully speedy recovery will follow, but Olympics are in danger I guess.

Bad organisation in Australia: http://www.sbs.com.au/cyclingcentra...-plays-out-on-final-day-of-North-Western-Tour

"After repeated warnings to the riders, and repeated infringements, unfortunately for the safety of riders, we had to stop, and adjust the race," said race spokesman Andrew Newton.

A long discussion followed between the managers of the 25 men's teams in attendance and Cycling NSW officials with the end result a decision to allow one rider from each team, to continue the stage - an interesting novelty with almost all teams choosing their lead sprinter to contest the remainder of the day.

Appearantly Austria will go to the olympics with Evans as leader

Shouldn't they go for Goss?
That's just Sporza's interpretation. Of course Goss will be the leader.

And it's Australia ;)
