How organised is that peloton though? Most teams don't have numbers there and the ones that do don't have a sprinterI agree he's the guy just below the superhumans, but you still have to be unbelievably strong to hold an organized peloton back for 40kms straight. Even with Van der Poel the gap wasn't that big anymore int he end (or maybe I remember it incorrectly).

Probably forgot a road race trick or two while doing gravel...Legendary strategy by Brunel to totally tire himself out before the kemelberg
Same actually by Campenaerts and Livyns, who took pulls in the lead group (or in Campenaerts case, try to wake the lion in Pedersen).Legendary strategy by Brunel to totally tire himself out before the kemelberg
If you're a team with a sprinter than isn't Philipsen or Merlier though, why work. You kind of leave it to them and see what they do for the most part so Pedersen is only really racing those teams for a good 30kmWe'll see after last Kemmel. There's still a lot teams with a sprinter.

I will never ever understand those guys working with Pedersen before the Kemmel where they have a big chance getting dropped.
Patterson lost his mind there in the corner
Haller has always been a hard man among the sprinters. Beat Van Aert in Bremen cycleclassics in 2022, has multiple Paris-Roubaix top 20s and 1 E3 top 10. That Ice Hockey background...How is haller all day in the break and stronger than the 2 belgians
Only PattersonDoes nobody wants to win this race?
Doms are always saved at this point to have them after Kemmel.Does nobody wants to win this race?
The whole peloton is banking on Alpecin / Soudal QS to work after Kemmel.Does nobody wants to win this race?
