Great win by tom just hope cancelara wins roubaix, but tornado tom is in great shape, though i just think cance deserves a monument.but no doubt hell get pipped in a sprint he's a machine tho so great to watch i feel he's stronger than tom but tom should have enough to grab his wheel and beat him in the sprint.

Still no De Driedaagse van de Panne-Koksijde thread, so I'll make my prediction here. Kwiatkowski for the victory!

Another great race by Sagan as well, kid is flying.

300m in the wind and then mouths off to riders who all had team mates in the front group. What a champ!

I think he had a right to "mouth off" when other teams would rather not give their riders a shot at a win just to prevent him from getting back on by refusing to ride. He could well have had another bad day like San Remo. Just goes to show that Greipel & Denkengolb didn't have much faith in themselves and neither did their teams seeing as they are more suited to this type of course. Fair enough that Greenedge or OPQS riders wouldn't help but there are other teams.

Also I think he is doing a good job honouring the WC jersey in races that arn't exactly his domain and in fact has so far done more than Hushovd did last year.

Another good win by Boonen nice to see him coming back to his old self.

Don't agree. Thought we got a much better race because Cav was isolated and in no control what so ever.

Didnt mention him being isolated. Merely that if he was in the leading group (team mates or no team mates), attack after attack would have gone off in the final 20km trying to drop him.

Really? Cav did his turn on the front before encouraging others to do their share and it's mouthing off?

There are enough reasons to dislike the guy, no need to fabricate more.

There were plenty of people in this group that couldn't beat Boonen yet didn't attack. If even Cancellara didn't attack anymore, who would have?

Bearing in mind the weather conditions, which were just perfect for a 100-men bunch sprint, this was a pretty good edition. A smaller bunch sprinting for the win than in Harelbeke, who would have thought.

Anyway, Boonen is überstrong. I believe he's never been better. Add this to an incredible team, which they showed today once again, and he is the man to beat the next 2 weeks imo. Damn, Chavanel and Terpstra weren't even there, but the other guys just step up to the plate and control the race:eek: Crazy. Good luck, Canc

Flecha and Thomas might have made the difference for Sky and Cavendish today had they been there. Not sure what happened to Eisel, I guess he did too much work on the front early on.

I can't see Canc escaping Omega's clutches at either Flanders or Roubaix. They're too strong.

It will be hard for him in Flanders, but in Paris - Roubaix it's certainly possible.

Greipel himself was riding on the front when he missed the group and Degenkolb tried to bridge the group with 2 other riders. They didn't make some stupid attack when all was lost like Cav did.

Did you happen to hear exactly what he said as I'm sure the camera's didn't manage to pick it up? Or was he just urging his fellow riders on. But I'm sure in your mind you've just inserted the words you would have used in such a situation. Once again this will turn out to be another case of insert whatever words you think apply.

I wasn't commenting on that I was commenting on your assertion that those two riders were just sitting in the second group waiting for sky to ride them back.

What happened to Garmin today? Pretty horrible performance. Only Vansummeren in the first group and Farrar on his own in the second.
Garmin as a team have been pretty bad in all the cobbled races so far. It's been all about Vanmarcke for them.

And to think Sep had to beg if he could please ride his own race in the Omloop...

Congrats to Boonen- i do not know how many more times i will have to say that over the next week.

Sagan did a great break with Cancellara at least he rode with him but he definitely could have won in the sprint.

Cav survived the hills then gets gapped on the descent ( not expected, either of them ). In that instance i think it would have been warranted for the whole team to be around him ( especially since he survived the Kemmelberg ).
