After watching the overhead view of the finish I'm amazed how some guys have not one care factor for others lives. #f..ck..bull****

There seemed to be a few guys there, saying "you move or we both fall" Rojas seemed at fault when he went down, EBH took a hit from Goss, which should have been aimed at Marcato. A little more chaos than normal.

Did you happen to hear exactly what he said as I'm sure the camera's didn't manage to pick it up? Or was he just urging his fellow riders on. But I'm sure in your mind you've just inserted the words you would have used in such a situation. Once again this will turn out to be another case of insert whatever words you think apply.

A guy who stuck his nose in the wind for 200m for the first time in his career has no right to tell others to ride.

Sky looks like it has a better team for grand tours than classics. Cavendish will have to rely on himself more in future races which he can do when he is at his best. He could have done with some of his old team mates.

after seeing the finish several times, it's easy to conclude that rojas is a complete idiot. That was just f**king crazy what he did

He does have Eisel and EBH as teammates just like he did when he won MSR in 2009. I just think he needs to get back to his climbing ability from 2009 when he won MSR and when he won that stage coming off the Col de l`Escrinet in the Tour that year.

But i would also agree with you in that Cav should rely on himself a bit more and think a bit independently minded for himself then to always rely on his teammates all the time.

They could definitely do with adding a couple of engines for some depth. Their real depth is in GC riders and climbers which is rather bizarre after how the first season went. Thomas is a big miss. Flecha too. They'd have been in the top 30 over the Kemmelberg and Cavendish would have made the front group.

He's a Francoist. I don't expect him to be very bright.

Cav would be great in Desert races... long 220km stretches of straight roads with no hills to Las Vegas or such ...

The dude in front of him should have peeled off after getting gapped 5 metres or less when the split occurred.

Cadaverdish must be lamenting the HTC days of yore...

Too bad, I disliked all of them as HTC, but give them tremendous credit as they pretty much had Cavenfishes cherry picked stages/races all but sewn up.

I'm pretty sure Rojas was paid by UCI to take down Tossatto/Cantwell/Lund -whoever it was.

Marcato should get a fine for that sprint. All the Vacansoleil sprinters are ****ing crazy.

With such a big group finishing together it only took one or two dodgy bike handlers to make a mess of it. I was surprised that a few of the non sprinters did not try anything in the last few kms instead of riding to the finish and waiting to get beaten even if they probably would have failed to get away.

Watch it, you'll clearly see two incidents. Rojas into tossato, and marcato, pushing EBH into Goss. EBH and Goss do really well to stay upright.

Probably helped that Goss sat up and preferred not to contest the sprint rather to keep trying to push through.

But marcato was crazy, not sure who it was that sat up in front of that group but he should have gone left rather than try to force a hole down the right hand side where he went

Yep. Can't find any primary source, but read this.
wow, thanks for the link buddy. if indeed true, that's some disturbing revisionist bull.

would be interested in reading more about riders' social/political stances in general, too, if that ***'s available.

Cycling should take a note from horse racing and ban these riders who endanger others.

Marcato should be a on a 3 week holiday for that move.
