Pithie very good but lacking that last few percent, the engine will improve a lot the older he gets, out of contract too I believe so all big teams should be looking.

If EF and Intermarché hadn't ridden for the front duo, it could at least have been close.

Or close enough for a little bit suspense.

Like 0-0 if we count Sanremo as an easy race?
Yeah had a look and seems they've basically never ended in the same group.

I really don't know who'd win this h2h sprint. For obvious reasons, hard to see past Van der Poel, but I am genuinely unsure.

Is it just a coincidence that the camera is on Mads Pedersen when he is leading, or is he really doing too much work?

If he can lose a sprint to Asgreen, he can definitely lose to Mads as well.

If Soudal are still serious about their classics squad, they should be all over him.

If Pithie is serious about his classics career, he should swerve hard.

They honestly really couldve closed the gap before 2nd Kemmel if they weren't such a joke. Honestly, I can understand EF, they don't have a sprinter, but Intermarché with almost their whole team there? Ridiculous.

Pedersen has just as much of a chance to win this sprint, lol.

Have to see it. My most recent memory of Pedersen in similar situations isn't favoring his case. Not as explosive as MVP and that tends to be more important in 1v1 situations or sprints from small groups.

Intermarché still have the mindset of a plucky PCT who shouldn't be looked at to do a lot of work. That hasn't been warranted anymore for years.

Of course it could have been closed when Trentin decided to go a potato chase instead. But in the end I think most sprinter teams played it fine. Quick Step have numbers, Intermarche can ride for Girmay, I think even Bora and Jumbo have 3 riders left. The front group was just too strong with Pedersen and MvdP today.

So what should he do then? If he loses do you then think your little theory will have been proven?
