discuss. the 2 rides he did today in the individual pursuit were phenomenal, only his 3rd rides in the ip in competition ever. considering his activeness in the tour of britain, and his junior results, he could end up being a very decent road rider?

Could have gone 4'-14" if hadn't sat up on catching Cornu.
Fastest ever non-superman.
Taylor who?
Pity it's being dumped from the Olympics.

Oh and don't forget he finished the Tour in his first full pro season, aged just 21.

+1
Would have set up a fascinating tussle with phinney and some of the aussies coming up. The fact its not going to be in London is a travesty, especially when you think of the amount of events swimming gets and now there is going to be golf FFS! What next, darts?

classy rider. But dont get too enthusiastic. He is no Boasson Hagen nor Cavendish.

But he weighs less that Wiggins, so that can indicate potential power-weight. But he weighs more than Bobridge.

He has ridden probably 20 efforts in the teams over the past 4 years, so he knows very well what is required on the track and over 4 km, and there is a correlation in the two rides. Obviously the teams require a larger anaerobic power threshold and explosivity, being able to spoke the power when you get your nose in the wind, and to start.

Ed Clancy might even be faster than G.

geraint does have amazing potential.. for his age, he has been kept firmly on the ground, has done solidly in his one grand tour, and has been very well looked after by british cycling and by barloworld... he could do very well at sky...

however, i cant work out what i see him excelling at.. can he turn into a climber and tour contender, can he turn into a classics man, a time trialler, a prologue specialist.. i cant make up my mind..

but his rides yesterday was stunning.. the fasted normal human ever.. and if only he had "known the rules" his second time yesterday could have been amazing..
