Kloden? What has he done this year to show that others should do domestique work for him. At 37 he's not getting any better. If he ever found himself on the same team as Evans or Basso it would be him doing the domestique work for them.

Sorry, forgot my punctuation. I meant Kloeden riding as a domestique for another rider. Mentioning Kloeden reminds of a funny moment during the Tour when his team leader Zubeldia was on the side of the road with a mechanical or a puncture on one of the mountain stages and Kloeden rode up behind me and went straight past without even glancing at him. Very generous Andreas. Maybe more pathetic than funny !

Are you Zubeldia?

Pozzovivo>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gadret
;)

Pozzovivo might actually be doing the Tour this year, he said he wanted to ride the TDF and as this year will probably suit the climbers I would nto be surprised if Pozzovivo is going to the TDF instead of the Giro.

if he goes to the Tour he will be 10 minutes from the leader after the first week of flat stages. That is if he won't be out because of a crash.

He is a smart guy, i just hope he realize that it will be foolish to skip the Giro and focusing on the Tour.

Oh well, it isn't that bad when they do it once. It's stupid when they keep making the same mistake like Samu not focusing on winning a GT :)

Is there a "huge " difference in term of chances to be in a crash at the Giro versus the TDF in the early stages?

If the Tours route ends up being much more mountainous with significantly less TT km than the Giro then I could see it being better for him to ride the Tour in 2013. But we will have to see what the parcours of both the Tour and Vuelta look like. Whatever GT he rides I think should be the one that suits him best I.E. which has the most climbing.

AG2R might be able to protect Pozzovivo better than Colnago as well.

Where did I say otherwise?

You didn't, just making the point that if it came down to who should lead the team in the Giro then Pozzovivo should be the leader over Gadret.

Pretty much agree with you.

AG2R would have signed Pozzovivo with a view to lead the Giro and in the Italian races allowing Gadret to ride the Tour, but the Giro ended up having more TT KMs than usual scuppering their plans.

Since when does Gadret care whether the team is behind him or not?

Maybe he still thinks he can contend for the Giro and wants leadership in it, after all he is the one that wears pink shoes because he finished 4th.

in my view, both gadret and pozzovivo passed their prime, but gadret generally was brighter.

lol do you even know how old pozzovivo is? he will be 30 next month!!!

only reason why he struggled to perform at the giro from 09 to 11 was because of illness and crashes that happened because his team was too weak to protect him on the flat during a GT. And before you say he was only on a small team because he wasn't good enough for a big one, the only reason why he was on a small team is because there he could have a lighter race schedule mostly, if not entirely in italy allowing him to focus on his studies. it clearly worked as at 29 and while having a full time pro career he has a masters and a PhD something many full time students don't achieve so early.

frankly speaking, i was sure pozzovivo is 31, but it doesn't change much. his assets are top-10 in the 2008 giro, while riding on the same team with sella which is self-explanatory, and this year's stage win. a good rider is eager to join a pt team as soon as possible and does it, doesn't he?

did you just ignored the last part of my post? do you even know what a PhD is?

he also finished 8th on this year's giro in case you didn't notice. no1 is saying is GT winning material, but to say he is past his prime is just being ignorant.

And his legend is tearing up everyone in China:eek:

Dont bother arguing him imo
