Wonder what's going on with Ryder

Lost too much weight, (started at his finishing weight from last year according to JV) killed his ability to recover.

Two more dull stages to come, may as well tune back in on saturday.

And a boring stage at ToC on tap later. Boring stages for both tomorrow as well. Oh well, the weekend will be good.

Its THE LEGEND, THE ONE AND ONLY

Francis de Greef :D
Is that what he looks like? Hm. I still had hopes of him being some kind of Gollum, at home in the shadows.

If we have to have a boring stage, may as well make it flat so we can see Cav in full flow.

Seriously suprised there was so little GC action on the final climb.

De Greef is 1m97 I think, he's huge. Too huge to be a GC rider but he tries anyway :D

Hey, at least he's the master of the ergometer. Or so we're told.

Robert Gesink 2.0.

well logical, most times these tall guys push huge watts, but they have more weight too. They have to push a lot more watts to be able to keep up with the rest uphill.

It's really a lost battle for them vs 58kg lightweights

Bavarianrider has a different theory about this ;)

But Gesink used to be strong on steep inclines. As was Schleck. Both rather tall guys.

BTW De Greef managed to lose time after his attack.

Lesson learned. He'll never attack anymore.

And Stevo Love Boat lost 13 minutes... dunno what's up with him but since 2011 it's been awkardly silent..

He probably just let go. Wants to go for a stage win. He wasn't that bad yesterday.

but but but...those team Sky guys...wait, never mind.

In all seriousness, he doesn't look any thinner than Nibbles, Scarponi, or Wiggo, but I guess everyone is different.

Not boring from my lounge chair/arm chair.

Great break by the winner and second place. I laughed out loud when they caught and blew passed Gretsch.

Di Luca is so predictable. But I guess his fruitless style of attacking is what many are looking for.

Because we weren't getting coverage, was surprised to see the main bunch whittled down. Looks like Gesink had a dig there, but his team were unable to deliver.

It's stage like these the riders learn about where each other are at. These stories are what's needed to enlighten us.

And those discussions are going on in the appropriate subforum. That's where JV commented about Ryder's weight.

Boy, just re-watched the moment when Navardauskas and Oss said "Adios" for rest of break... That was one serious acceleration!

Really, really impressive. Poor Bonnafond went from joining them to giving up all the hope in about 3 seconds. ;)

And of course Gretsch had to "sprint" for some 500 meters to get the wheel. No wonder he didn't last long

Maybe he's just sacking the GC so he can get in breaks.
