I big mistake IMO to put Qubeka away, they have very good riders, a good ethic, a good spirit, and they are the future.
I got to agree with you. MTN is a really intersting and spectacular team. But they had to give the 3 Italians teams the wild-card.

Serpa and Atapuma will do the Tour instead of the Giro (Serpa told in an interview that he'll do Tour-Vuelta, because he prefer long Tour climbs than steep Giro climbs, but anyway in the Vuelta he'll find steeper climbs than in any other Tour).

Colombia Giro team will be Duarte-Duque-Ávila-Pantano-Chalapud-Rubiano-C.Quintero and two more (I hope to see Largo, Torres or Pantoja).

No they didn't. This was an opportunity to put the fear of God into the Italian teams about causing embarrassment to the race by nailing Scinto's mob to a tree.

Short termist thinking not to do so.

I'm not saying I do agree with their decision. But there is no way Yellow Flu(or whatever their name is) should have been invited to Giro. They had doping problems and their riders are weak compared to IAM or MTN. The only logical reason for Yellow to be invited is their nationality...

I don';t get why colombia got rid of daliver ospina, at least he was ok. instead they take riders from colombia that are basically one big gamble and I mean that in a bad way, especially largo.

yellow fluo didn't have doping problems, di luca and santambrogio had. what is the team to blame for? especially considering scinto refused to sign di luca until sponsor threatened at last minute to cancel all sponsoring and they couldn't go to the giro. after the giro debacle scinto againt stood up and dissed the sponsor who wanted to stay looking in italy for another sponsor he was in full risk of losing his job and many of his people.

Now he realizes that!!! during the sunset of his career (not that he had the opportunity before but for a rider of his quality he could have gone to a World Tour before).

I am happy for him.

The sponsors walked away leaving a team with a doping stench around it. That seems fair.

For this year it sends the wrong message to other teams. Hire dopers, let them ride and win, get caught and we'll invite you back next year.

Of the 8 options RCS had the only 2 teams I'd not have considered were United healthcare and YellowFluo and they picked one them.

Great news.

Methinks Porte will come under serious threat from the Colombian army this year.

Collusion etc, the Tassie will need to bring his A game.

I quickly counted something like 18 colombians doing the giro. I hope they will ride like one armada. sky have no chance
