Quintana + 8 from this list

The squad will choose eight riders from Italians Adriano Malori and Eros Capecchi, Polish climber Sylwester Szmyd, Costa Rica's Andrey Amador and Spaniards Fran Ventoso, Pablo Lastras, Igor Antón, Jonathan Castroviejo, Gorka Izagirre and José Herrada.

I don't think he needs all 3 ITT specialists- especially since Dowsett wants to ride the TDF (even though there's no TTT:confused:)
I would go- Anton, Lastras, Szmyd, Amador, Capecchi, Malori, Castrajevo and probably Izagirre (Herrada deserves a TDF spot).

This line-up probably means Gadret will ride the TDF.

Damn this thread needs to get updated.

So what should Sky lineup be like?

Is Cavendish still in? I remember he was in doubt.

Cataldo-Siutso-Deignan-Hagen-Rowe-Pate-Puccio-Knees-Dombrowski(or another young climber).
Or something like that, i'm excided to see EBH do his own thing in a Giro again.

Cavendish is still in doubt, Lefevre want's him to do California in stead, probably to keep him and Uran separated, but with the changes in the points system Cav's got another reason to want to go to the Giro. I think he'll do California, Lefevre usually get's his will.

Looks to me like Cav is definitely out (and Petacchi most likely in)

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/petacchi-unable-to-repeat-2009-scheldeprijs-win

'Petacchi explained he will probably race the Tour of Turkey and then the Giro d'Italia. "If I go to the Giro I'll try some sprints because Mark is not in the Giro. Afterwards it's really important to ride the Tour in good condition for Mark. In the Tour, for sure with me, Mark, Steegmans and Renshaw we have a big team."'

with Porte and Horner out, Scarponi and Evans could even have a shot at the podium (while Purito and Quintana battle out for the Pink Jersey)

not a chance in hell

Dombro definitely won't race the Giro. He'll be in Cali hopefully. Henao probably would be the young climber they would send (as others have said).

Putting on my biased nationalistic hat for a second, I'd love to see Philip Deignan get on the Sky team and do well (he broke his collar bone two months ago which won't have helped his training). He's had big problems with illness and injury and is pretty unknown even in his home country, despite winning a stage and getting in the top 10 in the Vuelta a few years ago and top 10 in California, Utah, and the Pro Cycling Challenge last year.

When he signed for Sky, I presumed he was back to being a minor domestique, but the current attrition in the queue of climbers ahead of him could give him more of a free role. I'm getting ahead of myself of course - the team hasn't even been announced yet. I don't know if being Irish will help him get picked for a GT starting in Ireland - I don't see Darth Brailsford working that way, although it's true that Sky (the media company, not the team) have been looking at increasing their footprint in Ireland lately, most notably by buying the rights to show certain hurling and Gaelic football matches. Before Deignan was signed, Fran Millar did say that having an Irish presence would be good from a business/shareholder point of view.

Brajko, Agnoli and Lutsenko should be pretty much confirmed for Astana.
Preparation for Lutsenko seems to fail however. DNF in MSR and Criterium International. No Pais Vasco, no Ardennes Classics, no Trentino or Romandie (AFAIK). Can't see him starting the Giro.

Edit: I see Lutsenko on the provisional startlist of Fleche Wallonne. So maybe...

Also, Moser is in for Cannondale, along with Bennett.

A little off topic, but would you by any chance happen to know what Moser's target is this season? Ardennes and stage/stages in Giro?

Definitely is a big word, but after seeing S. Henao is also doing Trentino i'm inclined to agree with you.

But I'd say appropriate when talking about Dombrowski this season. He hasn't raced nearly enough to be ready for 3 weeks of racing. And he's been dealing with knee issues again. Cali the wiser option for him.
