Sad that Carlton wasn't here for this, the disappointed father of Pierre Rolland
I think he is commenting on SBS or something. He's definitely doing it somewhere. I've heard him on the highlights

Any cycling commentary featuring Kirby is automatically not a highlight.

Enjoyed the stage on what was a transitional stage - Kudos for Rolland for a well deserved win - Big step for a Non-English French rider to join an English speaking team.

Don't French people have a tendency to not be English? :p
I guess he meant a French rider other than Nico Roche. Who would absolutely chafe at being called "English", but the point stands.

Rolland timed that well. Woods then gave a masterclass in being a chase disrupting, chaser demoralising all-round irritant. Chapeau to Cannondale.

UAE were amusing but they were behaving in a tactically strange way after Mohoric died. Conti and if necessary Polanc should have been driving the group, maximising Polanc's gain and Costa's chance for the stage.

Dumoulin: "it was a hard day, we had to work to keep the jersey, but physically I was fine".

So no problem after yesterday.
I'm sure if he had big problems to stay in the peloton he would have told the press

I think if he had big problems to stay in the peloton then he wouldn't have to tell the press - it would be obvious. Today's stage was probably the perfect stage for him after yesterday's drama and the effort he expended riding solo to minimizing his losses. Tomorrow all shall be revealed.

Yeah I have him on Fubo....

Kirby was insufferable yesterday. I wonder if some of his 'tactical' commentary is trolling on his part. He did share a story today, about being fleeced at the dry cleaners a few years back that I found quite amusing.

I'll have to re-watch the end of the stage since I didn't notice the work Woods did on initial viewing.

Costa chasing down his teammate. Nothing new under the sun here.

When was the other time Costa chased down a teammate?

Yeah, never,
