This climb is pretty bad if you ride against Dumoulin. You don't want to attack too early because the gradients aren't high enough, but if you attack too late Dumoulin will probably get back to you on the final 4 kilometers which are pretty flat.

A horrible designed stage (about this area, could have been so many better options), a TT as the last GC stage of the race (it mostly doesn't work well, riders always thinking that they can lose only 1 min in a TT then losing 2+ mins) and riders stopping 3 minutes after an attack.

Pathetic stage and a very boring race in general. When you do so many monoclimb stages, so many short stages etc. then this is the result lol.
