That's a nice one. For now.

I can just imagine all of our feeds cut out at the same time right before the finish line, and we all collective go - NOOOOOOO!!!

(Makes me think of that scene in Los lunes al sol where the characters had snuck into a footie match, but because the stadium's roof was in the way they could only see half of the pitch. So when somebody scored on the side they couldn't see they could only hear the cheers of the paying fans and had to imagine who had actually scored. It's a really great scene! )

Landa and TJ climbing faster than the GC Group, really is a stroll for TD at the moment.

Top 10 not able to drop eachother until the final climb.

Shame for the race, but it was a possibility that the race wouldnt be as open as normally in the Giro with this top field.

Yes, last few K's are quite steep. If they attacked now they could blow up massively there.

Yeah but tdf 2018 will with TD so probably not great timing if he can not break TD here.

TJ can be easily dismantled at the ramp with one to go.
Landa needs TJ up to that point.

I hate to come with the default Contador reply, but there is a big difference between how they tried and how Contador tries. Dumoulin does what he can. But Quintana meant to be capable for much more.

This climb is pretty bad if you ride against Dumoulin. You don't want to attack too early because the gradients aren't high enough, but if you attack too late Dumoulin will probably get back to you on the final 4 kilometers which are pretty flat.

If I had to guess right now, I'd say Nibali, Quintana or Zakarin will have a dig. Dumoulin will be happy to follow, unless he feels twitchy, is bored and has a go himself.
